Hello this is my first post in the video game thread and I thought might start t out with my favorite game, Pokemon! So this is pretty much any pokemon talk about the games! (I don't think theres a thread about this buts correct me if I'm wrong.) Il start it off with roaming legendaries! Do you like them? Why or why not? I personally hate the Idea of roaming legendaries, I mean running from route to route until there there. And than you have to specially train a pokemon with mean look so they don't instantly flee! I mean how is that fun?
Also I want to give something interesting with the designs for the Gen 5 starters, they gave all the starters a similar theme about different parts of the world. Oshowatt represents Japan, Snivy represents Europe, and Tepig represents China.
There's also a theme on the Gen 6 starters as well, Greninja is a ninja, Delphox is a wizard(or witch), and Chesnaut is a Templar. They're thought of representing different types of combat, like an RPG or something.
I think it's crazy that Pokemon is still going as strong as it is -- every year they make the brand, world, and eeveelutions (my favorite lol, can you tell?) more and more full. Can anyone else even think of other examples of games that have been around (minus tabletop games, like MTG/ D&D) even half as long as good ol' Pocket Monsters?
You guys are all wrong on what the best pokemon is.
All Hail Mew the Queen of the Universe!
It's cute, it's funny, it's cute, it's not bad competitively did I mention cute?
Even bulbapedia thinks so
Seriously though with base stats of 100 each and possibly one of the best move pools in pokemon this cute little feline is a killing machine. With one nasty plot this pokemon can take out teams of pokemon in one psychic. It also has aura sphere to deal super effective damage on dark types not to mention every tm and hm in the world of pokemon.
