Wondering if anyone can give me any advice as to how i could convert a game maker game into a flash game. If there is already a forum topic like this up then tell me where it is please before you lock it?
Yeah, theres already a forum for this. Heres the answer. Look at forums.g-java.com/ down the main page until you find the section for G-Flash. It is currently being converted to Java, so that it will work on all platforms. BUT it only works for .gm6's (.gmk coming soon) not .exes.
if you want to cconvert a exe. then 1. (decompile it) 2. put it in G-Flash.
It's not like it matters that much you won't be able to post it on AG,Kong ect.. Because of its lacking ability to make something as decent as is capable in flash. People should really put game maker behind them it's basically a toy not a serious game making engine.

If you're really that desparate, you could look up the format for a .gm6 and/or .swf file and write a converter in C++, although picking up flashdevelop and learning AS3 would take a lot less time.
Well what I would recommend is figure out how you do a certain action in GameMaker and figure out how to do the same thing in Flash. That's your best bet in the long run.
Sorry to burst your bubble but I am 100% certain you cant convert a gamemaker game to an swf file without doing it by hand. While there are ways to convert gamemaker files to g-java so you can play them in browser armor games wont except them and nether will most flash game websites.
If I were you I would drop gamemaker and learn flash as3 instead.
I'm quite certain that there's no way you can convert GML into Actionscript. If you want to submit games here, learn Flash.

Not really. There are quite a number of good Game Maker games. And the main site's communtiy is pretty active.
Anyway, Game Maker and Flash are worlds apart. That Karoshi Suicide Salaryman game that originated from Game Maker, had to be rewritten in Flash, I think.
