This is a bit of a forum game, but at the same time it has the capacity to result in a bit of poetry, so it goes here. I'm going to supply a line of poetry, and the following poster is to create a poem using the line I gave as their first. Along with their poem, they supply a line for the next person to write poetry on. No restrictions on the type of line or poetry; just keep the line open ended.

Here's the first line:

A mountain pokes out awkward in the mist

The waves wash in
Clearing everything away
My guilt
My sadness
My rage
Nothing remains
as the waves wash me away.

The fish flipped for joy,
He caught a bug.
He found a pearl,

He did forget.
Not to bit hooks,
So he was caught.

not as good as the other but ok

As the wind blows
The leaves rustle
And the branches sway

Autumn is in the air
Crimson and gold arrive
Coloring the leaves

Why did you save me?
when you knew i didn't want to
i was tired of my life
dead is what i wanted to be

You knew i am only wrong
so why did you even save me?
When you know i can't handle this
when you know i'm not that strong

too much i've done
but you can't save me
in a few seconds
i will be gone.

The tears in my eyes,
Soon run down my face.
A loss of a loved one,
is a reason to cry.

If thats not sad,
look back on life.
You might just see,
what everybody else does.

Wow a nother good one cool. .

As the tiger runs,
I try to run alongside.
I can't keep up,
But he slows down,
Natures rules we both abide.

I see no danger in him,
He doesn't see it in me.
He is just a majestic beast,
Waiting to be free.

So I will run beside him,
Faithfully as a friend.
And we will both wait patiently,
Till we can run again.

Everbody knows it
Why dont you admit it?
Its inevitable
They'll find out

At the old apple tree
sat a boy
Whose name I thought
was Malloy.

But then that boy Malloy
told to me
He just moved in
with fam'ly.

I could've sworn that boy
was Malloy.
Now I call him
Apple boy.

Sousa, Joplin, Ives, Coplaand,

I cant decide.

I'm going to guess that you mean 'boxes'

The closed boxes
Opened quickly
Granting freedom
To terrible things

Such is the lesson
Pandora has taught
For we must know
Curiosity killed the cat

Wow this did not turn out well.

Such a fleeting moment
Is the feel of victory,
While defeat hangs out
Too long to madden me.

I did not mean the things I said

"I did not mean the things" I said.
"Which things?" they queried back.
"The confusing, interpretative things,
that could mean naught but jack."
