Lowell practiced with the weapon until he got so good that his uncle gave Lowell a Remington 1900. After his uncle died, Lowell was raised with a good education and sent to Cambridge, where he earned a degree in foreign languages(German). He was exempt from the draft for academic reasons(and of course how influential his family was), but due to his uncle and the guns he'd gotten good at, Lowell requested to join. He was admitted, and then admitted into OCS. He was sent into combat with the rank of first lieutenant.

you rest and as your rallying the troops you hear a loud whistle and BOOM. Everything goes black, you wake up in a white world, you almost think its heaven when someone walks up and says "he's awake!"
