Inspired by the hit sci fi series "firefly" and Orson Scott Card's Xenocide This is my brand new RPG in which you will be a captain of a ship. Your goal: To get rich, and survive
and here is the setting:
The year was 2436, Earth and the mars and Titan colonies were much over-populated, and so humans colonized a lot of planets, some already hospitable, some heavily terraformed moons. Half of the colonies made an alliance, a very modern government keeping the same culture and strict rules in every one of its planets. Some planets took the form of different cultures, a planet to live with only Chinese culture, one for only Arab culture, and so on... Yet a lot of planets did not want to keep the rules of the alliance, and so they rebelled. These rebels were called the "independence". Many bloody battles were fought, yet with all their willpower, the independence lost. The planets that rebelled now have very low technology, taking form of the technology of 18th century earth and weaponry of the 19th and 20th. In these planets there is a natural rule: money equals survival. A job means money. A ship means getting a job. A gun means keeping one. Everybody does the best they can to get money, some trade, collecting cheap resources in one planet and selling them for a lot in a planet that misses some... Some are mercenaries, get payed to do different jobs. Some are illegal, some are not... "Don't much care" they say, "If it means money we are gonna' do it". There are dangers. Alliance ships still go around hunting war veterans of the independence and in different places lurk grievers, pyscho humans that trap ships and do horrible things to whoever they find... A ship captain's worst enemy...
This is the point we reach you, you are a war veteran, a survival of the independence army... With all your funds left you buy a ship... Your eyes locked on one beautiful, yet un-respected ship, Firefly class... She will need good care, you and your 2nd in command will need to get a pilot, a mechanic, maybe a fighter or two and a doctor if life's too tough... And cargo... And money... Well what'ya know... There is a lot of stuff to do...

-Jack o' all trades: Good at getting cheap prizes for trade

-fastest space-ship in the west!: Very fast and can reach different places quickly, also good at escaping enemy ships
-Firefly's got a gun: ship weapons are stronger and you already start with a basic turret

-Rifle basic, 1940-50s rifle... not good at short range, good at medium, pretty good at long
-Shotgun good at close range, okay at medium, sucks at long
-duel revolvers quick and damaging, not very effective at aiming though...
-Submachine gun very quick and does a LOT of damage, horrible at aiming...
-Laser gun takes a lot of time to actually shoot and not very damaging but really good aiming at all rangers but close...

Don't know his name but people call him the Iron Bug"
