in medieval times you are a general for hire, a mercenary who commands the troops to protect or defend, mainly castles, and do it for money you will face off against each other (PVP or solo however you choose) for money and fame

here is the sheet

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Nationality:
Coat of arms: what design does your men's armor wear and what design flag they bear (nothing stupid, something of the era)
Bio: at least an 8 sentence paragraph, optional
Perk i get from bio
Physical Desc.: at least 3 things
Personality: at least three things
Bonus Perk: i get from both personality and desc.
---------------------------------------------------------
Honor: 100
Army size: 5000
Troops: Armed peasants: 2000 Spearmen: 3000
Upgrades: none
Money: 100000
Army status: good

now the only troops you have are the
Armed Peasants: poor people conscripted wielding nothing but a pitchfork, they work best as fodder and a distraction
and
Spearmen: wielding nothing but a long spear and padded cloth armor and a coif they aren't the best troops but can get the job done. also they aren't the brightest men

Now what you can spend with money is on more troops and upgrades for them

honor is used to unlock better units you get it from winning battles

Bio: My father was a noble knight, who was rather successful. Unfortunately, he had a large gambling problem and spent almost half our fortune and ended up dying do to a lucky arrow shot in a war. I then took the responsibility of leading our small fief/hamlet/whatever we call small arias of land. I managed to build our fortune up slightly, but not a significant increase. The land I rule is on a mountain, near the boarder, meaning we are almost at constant war. I now continue to run my kingdom, hoping one day to be a famous knight like my father. Without the gambling problem.
Perk: Gambler- if you win a fight you get extra money, if you lose then you get less than you would normally get if you lost
Physical Desc.: Tall, with black or dark brown hair, and a small mustache.
Personality: Just and honorable, though distant.

So...I am supposed to take the castle? I am sorry, but I am slightly confused on my mission.

Alright... So I am not attacking the castle. So what am I doing? Ok. I leave with the kings guard, having my "reserve" troops traveling a little behind the main army.

i'll let you guess since there is a large force of non-friendly looking people outside your hire-ers castle

you advance on them, the crossbowmen take aim but don't fire yet (crossbows have shorter ranges than normal bows)

Alright, alright...

I send the mobile units, the mounted, to a charge straight at the enemy troops. Following that the rest of the main troops enter the fray, with crossbowmen aiming for enemy range units. I send my reserve troops to make a right flank, making a wide circle and attacking from behind while the others are fighting.

I tell them to attack the closest spearmen and stay together. They can then work together to defeat them.

Woops. I got confused and thought the enemy forces where part of my own...

So I do the same plan, without the other two parts. Just the battle and the flank.

you charge into them with the troops and knights, the crossbowmen open up and you loose 1000 peasants (they make good meatshields)

and in the beginning melee your smaller reserve sneak behind and out flank them

The main troops continue to battle while the flanking troops attack the enemy from behind.
