This is basically the same game as the one that has been running for quite a while, but it will be all official material, no house rules or non-rulebook sources of any kind, and I may enforce mandatory characters if things get too far out of hand (TRF has said that things were getting carried away in the other game). I also want chracter and OOC dialouge to be better managed, in other words don't fill this game up with a bunch of meaningless chatter (If all you want to do is talk about something, do it in the other game). New players are always welcome, and in fact encouraged, even if you don't own any of the books or know any of the rules. If any new players want to join, see the other game for rules, give me a race and class, and I will take care of the rest. As soon as at least 4 characters are made, this game will begin. The module I am using is a DCC, known as "The Black Pearl" (and I don't mean the ship from Pirates of the Caribbean)
The Cleric hits the Gargoyle on the head, and he hears it say:
"Hey, what did you do that for? That wasn't very nice! I didn't even move and youclub me on the head! Who are you and what's with the flying blue 'monk'ey? Seriously, where the heck did he come from and why do you act like you know him as a close friend?" you look and you can see it never even moved his mouth while it talked (...a magic mouth spell or the gnome playing tricks, perhaps?)
Into the abyss, the poor sa... I mean brave adventuer's go. you descend the stairs. It seems like the inside is bigger than the outside, as you go down, down, down, further down into the darkness. After what feels like hours you can see light coming from up ahead and a doorway to a small room:
The air is wet and stale here, as if the roomhasn't been disturbed in years. Hundreds of candle line the walls, their flames swaying and dancing to your every move. Some are tall, as if they were lit moments ago, while others are burnt down to stubby mounds of wax.
In the center of the room stands an onyx-
(as in the pokemon... jk, it's not)
pedestal supporting a massive tome bound in gold and worn black scales.
The walls are decorated with detailed murals depicting what must be the lives of heroes. You can see warriors rising up from humble beginnings to lead armies against forces of darkness; humble apprentices inheriting arcane powers from their masters, casting down kings and emperors with a wave of their wands;
(sounds kinda gay, does't it? "I destroy you with a wave of my magic wand, oooooooh"
meek rogues growing to become daring shadowlords; and destitute warrior-monks rising to become leaders of holy armies.
Walks over to Noobs. "So, you believe yourself wiser than I?" Takes his club (he uses it like Yoda's walking stick) and deadlegs him. Q: "**** kids......."
