Okay, so, apparently TRF wants to lose the old thread until such time as Dibs sees fit to return. So, as per his request, I have made a new thread. I, of course, don't see exactly why this is necessary, but I suppose it won't hurt anything to accommodate Turf. So, I guess this will just be a continuation of the prior thread with the old characters and we'll pick up where Dibs left off. I suggested that Noob DM this one, but being that he doesn't have any of the source material beyond what's on the internet, he declined. That being the case, if there are no objections, I guess I will be DMing this one. I won't have access to my books myself for another week or two, so if it's okay, I guess I'll be using a homemade campaign. And as far as the campaign goes, expect to see a lot of stuff that's not exactly D&D canon, because, as I said, I don't have my sourcebooks right now. Unless, of course, someone else wants to DM, in which case, I'd be more than happy to step aside. Unfortunately, I do not think that this game will be accepting any more players. This thread is here for the sole purpose of reducing clutter in the other. It will actually be a lot easier - it was getting to be a pain, navigating that other one with all the pages it had(we were almost at 4,000!). To start off, I'm going to request that we all post our sheets(I'll track mine down later) and if there is anyone who would like to DM or has any requests to that effect or which concern the next campaign, speak now or forever hold your peace. Cheers.
geez hyper, did you make that map yourself? (nerd alert...)
"Well, I suppose I can continue my search later, if you gents could use me, I would be more than happy to comply. I believe we should take the route marked in turquoise, as it would most likely help us avoid any nasty encounters. Perhaps we could get some information from the local chaps here at the fort. I see this place is none too friendly, but I do have quite the silver tongue, so if you don't mid, I will attempt to diverge any useful information the local garrison may have on the surrounding area. *attempting to use diplomacy to improve the attitude of the soldiers to friendly* Gentlemen, if I could have a moment of your time. You seem to be rather disgruntled, and I sympathize with you completely. You obviously have very difficult jobs keeping this area safe of any intrusions from unfriendly types, and how re you compensated? With the blood of your friends all around and a meager wage. I believe we each have something the other can use, and I would be open to negotiation, if you're interested."

DH, I have created two massive expanses of labyrinthine passages, one of which only uses perfect angle in multiples of 45* and three concentric circles.

Well, I'm using a module, so the map itself is in the module, but I had to redraw the whole thing to get it on the internet so I could share it with ya'll, and that was hard. Dammit Kirk! I'm a nerd, not an artist! And for the record, I actually despise Star Trek. That quote just seemed so appropriate, is all.
The soldiers' attitudes towards the party change from Unfriendly to Friendly. "Yeah," one of them says, "what can we do for you?"

Don't tell me that everything has a ratio of 1.618 and the labyrinth eventually forms a spiral in the shape of a conch shell?
Also, the other maze had built in cells for NPCs/new PCs, an equation for random trap generation (read second post on this page)and three charts for random enemy encounters.
Yes, they still dislike Rafel and Free, their attitudes only changed about Carl, who they disliked for being a half elf.

*does Futurama monkey point* You should do a Golden Ratio labyrinth sometime in the near future, mkay?
Hyper, it's an actual module? who put it out and what's it called?
"Well, we need information on the surrounding area, possible dangers we may encounter on these particular routes, and anything about the geography we could possibly use to our advantage. We could also use any information about the local legends and rumors going around, or anything else you may have heard or seen recently. In exchange for this information, I would be more than glad to speak to your commanding officer about whatever complaints you may have, and see if we can't implement some useful and welcome changes around here."
Alright, but I assumed you guy would want to be out in the open after being in a set of tunnels, then an arena, then a labyrinth.
I never said to use it on us. I just think it would be kind of cool. Ever see the episode of Criminal Minds called Masterpiece? It was on earlier tonight.
Criminal Minds? you actually like that **** show? I like Family Guy and Futurama (not so much the newer stuff), but Criminal Minds, I'd rather watch Dexter, and I don't even like that show!
The Minotaur's Labyrinth has over 150 turns in it, a varying degree of lighting, random starting point generation, several secret features (I'm still running it, so I won't reveal them) and a randomly determined time delay built in to the Minotaur's release to allow the party to group up before getting ****ed over (they are lvl 2 against a Minotaur.......).
I fail.
I forgive you (this time.......).
Criminal Minds? you actually like that **** show?
DIE YOU SON OF A *****!!! I would prefer to insult you using your own name. I am thinking Johnathan for some reason.
Ever see the episode of Criminal Minds called Masterpiece?
that's my uncle's name, 2 of my great uncle's name, my cousin's name, my second cousin's name, and the name of my neighbor, but it's not my name! I'm sorry, but if I wanted to watch anything that has to do with crime, I would watch The Shawshank Redemption, Oz, Scarface, any of the CSI shows, or The Godfather, which I've never seen all the way through!
The one where the genius walks up at one of their recruitment lectures to college students(Reid tells a joke about existentialism in the beginning, by the way) and tells them he's already murdered like half a dozen people and more are going to die, so they have to interrogate him. It's the one where he kills people whose faces match the Golden Ratio and he picks his locations using the Fibonacci sequence. Super nerdy. Which is why it's probably one of my favorite episodes xP
any of the CSI shows,
Ugh... There's just not enough actual detective work going on in those.
If you want good mystery shows, try Monk, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Psych...
I am thinking Johnathan for some reason.
Meh. To me, he seems more like a Graham, or an Elliot. Maybe an Avery.
