The Kingdoms
Germany - The first settlers to come to this small land, the Germans are olden Vikings who have arrived with no intentions other than riches and power. They live on the North-Western Coast of the island. The Germanic Vikings have the absolute best infantry that can even withstand multiple arrow shots and spear stabs before going down. Due to having the best infantry, they are limited to being an infantry only kingdom, with the exception of sometimes being able to throw axes and spears. They have extremely large shields that sometimes are larger than the wielder themself. The Germans don't make very good allies, since they believe they are only the true kingdom to rule. Nevertheless, they a force to be reckoned with.
Italy - The Italians were originally part of Rome, but rebels arised and they left to create their own kingdom. They live on the South-Western sea cliffs of the island. The Italians have a balanced concetration of spear-armed infantry and crossbowmen. They do not have cavalry though, since their living area is generally mountainous. Italian armies are generally more focused on defense than offense, which means charging in is probably not a good idea. They are a rich kingdom, but that doesn't mean they will last very long.
Rome - The Romans are a powerful kingdom, but suffer instability. They live on the West coast of the island. Rome's army is a difficult force to deal with, which consists of powerful cavalry and infantry. Their horses are well armored and their horsemen carry lances and spears so deadly that they are able to take down many enemies in a single hit, with the exception of Germanic Vikings. Their infantry wield heavy weapons such as war hammers and maces and relatively smaller shields than other armies. However, they do not have any archers to support them. The Romans are a difficult kingdom to maintain, but in a good fight it is probable that they will win.
Russia - The Russians are more of a neutral kingdom, but in time of war, they will not hesitate to fight. They live in the North-Eastern tundra forests of the island. Russian armies purely consist of well trained, expert archers that have deadly accuracy as well as powerful drawing power that can release more powerful projectiles that fly through the air. Due to being an archer only kingdom, it is recommended that forces are kept back out of the battlefield and close together so that dealing with close combat forces are not a problem. Russian armies are highly based on defense, so if you send your archers charging in, then you have already lost.
Mongolia - The home of the Great Khan. They are an agressive kingdom, and altough they have many enemies, most of them hesitate to do anything to them, let alone fight them. They live on the Western grasslands of the island. They are known for their power and constant wins against enemy forces. Their armies are cavalry only, which matches Roman cavalry, only slightly stronger and faster. Mongolian armies are fit for tactics such as Scatter then Attack or Hit and Run. But really, they are ideal in almost any situation. Becoming allies with this kingdom will prove useful, for some time at least. As there is a great chance that Mongolia will turn back on you.
Persia - Persia uses a healthy balance of archers, infantry and cavalry. But they don't have much advantages, other than being able to command all three types of soldiers. They live in the Southern deserts of the island. Their infantry is average, they can hold up enemy attackers but not for too long. Their archers are decent as well, but usually they aren't reliable. But their cavalry however, is quite remarkable. Persian cavalry matches up to Roman cavalry, only being slightly weaker. Persians are lifelong, reliable allies that will usually help out when needed.
Calradia - Not much is known about Calradia. Other than the widely known fact that they have taken of much of the island. (Players may not join this kingdom)
