I quickly try to remember how they said to defend against a mind attack and try to do the human version of that even though I know that it will be extremely week. Once I have done that I will try to ignore what the scientist is doing and kill him by cutting his head off since nothing else has yet to work.

anyway, i shift into time! (you said Shifting Into Unbelievable Things) and absorb his life time to kill him. if i cant do that i shift into a lightning storm and kill him (he has super reflexes but lightning is faster). after he is dead i say to appre:" this form makes me hungry" and then i grill the flesh of the dead guy, eat it and then i turn back to normal. i say then to appre: "i can understand it if you want to leave me. but if you will still follow and help me i would be very thankful"

I wrap the web in earth, making a sort of dirty bomb, I send it back, then release the earth when the ball is near the spiders, so that the web hits them.

Is that how you defend against a mind wave? Not too sure.

In all of the books I have read you defend against a mind attack either concentrating on something really hard or by imagining a wall around your mind.
