Europa Universalis FGR
A forum game remake about Europa Universalis... I had a better remake but all the files were lost, so I made a new one. The map took a few days to make, I started blank, only with provinces though. I look at it and see that it is not historically accurate, but whatever. If you want to know more about Europa Universalis, look it up. This post will probably be large.

A Short on Wars

Casus Belli: To start a war, you may need a casus belli, a valid reason for war. Declaring war without one will gain you mass negative infamy, some stability drop, and a few more bad things.

Peace Treaties: Peace treaties can end anyway they like, either white peace (which means nothing will happen in the peace treaty and the war will end) or they can end in total defeat and ceding of territory. As long every participating country agrees, the peace treaty can be passed.

------------------------------------------------------------

Type: What the army is composed of. (Artillery, Musket Men, etc.)
Attack: Offensive abilities.
Defense: Defensive abilities.
Maneuver: Moving abilities.
Organization: How well organized the army is and how well they follow orders.
Morale: Higher morale means chance of surrendering is low, lower morale means chance of surrendering is high.
Exhaustion: How exhausted the army is, too high exhaustion can kill or slow down armies greatly. Exhaustion lowers by resting.
------------------------------------------------------------

I hope the map isn't too big or small.

I order the units I had stationed on the High Ground to swing around, and Charge the Ottoman Cannons. Spread out a bit, so as to minimize casulities. They are to take the cannons, or to die trying. They are to fight to the last man.

I order my advancing units to charge into the ranks of the Egyptians. They are to show no mercy, and to kill them all. They are to do so, or die trying. They are to fight to the last man.

also when the ivory is carved and done i collect a lot with new blunderbusses with intricate designs and take them to the pope, offering them and our peace to stop the holy war, as our only interests are italy

The Pope is in Rome, and I control Rome. I allow the envoy(s) to enter Rome, where I have my Imperial Guards stationed to kill them. They are to take the Blunderbusses, and give them to my scientist to produce them and make them better.

I order my ships to spread out, and to go to full tack so as to avoid the fire ships. They are to enter into the main harbor of the Egyptians, and sink any ship they find there. Failure is not an option: Succede, or die trying.

I send this message to all countries in Europe: 'All of Christendom is being threatened by the minions of Satan. Even as we speak, the Moslem hordes are sweeping accross Europe, burning and destroying all in their path. While I may be the only one who is dealing directly with these Demon spawn, all of Europe must soon face these warriors of hell. If the light of Jesus is to remain kindled, we must put aside our petty differences and unite to wipe these infidels from the face of the earth. Do not fall prey to those serpents of Egypt! It was said by the Christ, that those who would come to decieve us would be in sheep's clothing, and waving the olive branch of peace. I partook of their honey, and have recieved only barbs in return. Brothers, I urge you not to make the same mistakes as I have! The infidel plans to see the Church toppled and us all in chains. Now is the time brothers, it is the will of God! He will not see us in chains, but will give us triumph as he is our Great Deliverer.

Signed, your Brother in Christ.

Hurrah!

you can't deny access of peace to the pope, otherwise you yourself defile him

Actually, I can deny access to the Pope. I will do it all day long. May I remind you, good sir, that Rome is in MY LANDS. I control everything in my lands, and by entering into them, you are subject to my domain. My domain, ergo, my rules.

Bro, we are in the 1400s. The Height of the Crusades. The motto of the century was 'Kill the Jews! Kill the Infidel! Deus Vult!' To say the least, Europeans typically killed Moslems on site, with questions to be asked in the future, if at all. The fact that you would make it to Rome without being killed by some moderately religious citizen would be a miracle into itself. The fact that you would make it to Rome, while traveling through the nation that you back stabbed and attacked would be impossible without direct divine intervention.

May I also remind you, that this was how I annexed the Papal States: 'Join me, so that I may have your blessing in spreading Catholicsim throughout the world.' Last time I checked, the Pope was Catholic.

You begin research of ballistics, and ballistas. After spreading word in Europe, a lot more nations seem to want to join. France, Denmark and Sweden are the first ones to request war. They can't do much, but they can send naval forces down in Arabia.

I meant to put Granada. The army will take a while. Meanwhile, some travelling messengers tell you that Poland is calling all of Europe to arms against Egypt. What do you think?

The Ottomans retreat the battlefield, but leave their cannons. The troops take control of the cannons, ready to fire. The Egyptians are obliterated by the rest of your army. Firearms research is done, due to the new capture of the blunderbuss. (New armies?)

"Please, send some of your new armies to Italy"

i keep feeding gunners and spearmen there

how did the 10k that i sent not get there yet?

also if my Blunderbuss were threatened with capture my men would run and throw them in the ocean

and my men assume a loose formation and try to retake the cannons at all costs

and what about the spears and gunners i recruited?

I capture the cannons, and turn them onto the Egyptians. I send them to hell.

The rest of the units on the battle are to withdraw slightly so as to avoid the cannon fire, but are to prevent the Egyptians from escaping.

From page 21, if you want to check:

I levy the 400,000 to defend our nation against the attacks of Satan through his instruments the infidel Moslems (I'm really into character. XD) I order the training and creation of these units:

I train enough men to bring all units back up to replacement levels (15,000 Men)

2nd Imperial Guard[Capital] - Pikemen - 15,000
1st Heavy Lancers[Ottoman Boarder] - Horsemen - 15,000
2nd Heavy Lancers[Ottoman Boarder] - Horsemen - 15,000
3rd Heavy Lancers[Ottoman Boarder] - Horsemen - 15,000
4th Heavy Lancers[Ottoman Boarder] - Horsemen - 15,000

These units I create, and order to standby to recieve training with the Guns when they are created.

1st Musketeers[Ottoman Boarder] - Gunner - 15,000
2nd Musketeers[Ottoman Boarder] - Gunner - 15,000
3rd Musketeers[Ottoman Boarder] - Gunner - 15,000
4th Musketeers[Ottoman Boarder] - Gunner - 15,000
5th Musketeers[Ottoman Boarder] - Gunner - 15,000

The rest of the men I order to remain on standby.

First, I suppose I'll use propaganda to get units to join and form a 2nd army, the 2nd Battalion, telling them how powerful the army will become, but it will only prevail with the help of the people.

I remain carefully neutral.
In other news, the 1st Army moves to the Aragonian border, Portugal is ordered to raise a 5,000 man army to assist us and I enlist 5,000 Pistolmen.
We also try to find new innovative ways to improve the Flintlock and better uses fo gunpowder.

Okay they're here. Your men try to retake the cannons but the Italians fire them at your gunners, losing not as much men due to the spread out formation. (Spears and gunners? Sorry I forget a lot). You get word that the Timurids declared war on the Ottomans.

The Egyptians spread out before you can fire, making them less vulnerable from cannon fire. They try to take back the cannons, but fail, losing 500 gunners. You get word the Timurids declared war on the Ottomans, which means you'll get a little support, well actually, a lot of support because the Timurid armies are freaking giant. You also get the new armies. Sweden and Denmark want join with their navies, and France with their land armies.

Your researchers begin innovation of the flintlock pistol. The 1st army moves to the Aragonion border, which causes some alarm in Aragon. Portugal agrees and builds up their military. You enlist 5,000 pistol men into an army.
