Re-written to be more clear

Based on my old game FSBG so...yeh

Story from FSBG: It is the year 2280 earth made contact with many different alien species making the desolate space of past into a habitat crawling with different species but all is not well, many different wars were caused by the Xenophobia of earth in their past.
----
During the bloody war between the newly inter-planetary Human federation, and the Midor-Fandor Unified nation; as the land battles rage on. (Also if you want to revive FSBG I can do that) In space, even worse ones occur. The Humans in their ignorant ways have declared war on the Fandor and Midor whose first intentions were to establish colonies and trade posts and now raise mighty armies. You will play in a small single seat fighter and make ends meat in the army, and then eventually have ships of whatever class you please.

Races:
Fandor-Midor Unified Nation
---------------------------
Midor: Tall, red aliens with long faces and slender bodies, they are super smart but weak. Their space tech is by far the best in terms of weapons, all their ships are bristling with guns, and their ship armor isn't bad either. But boarding is almost nonexistent (Boarding is of importance). Live to 250

Fandor: Almost a brother race to the Midors, they are human sized with very broad shoulders and a pig like face, their skin color varies from green, to dark grey.
stupid and barely have any armor on the ships, like they were held together by super glue and duct tape and the weapons are fair, but almost undefeated in boarding with their awe inspiring melee weapons. Live to 150.

Human Faction
-------------
Human: Great ships, with strong armor and fair weapons and below average at boarding.

Helghast: They have a completely pale white complexion and are much slimmer than humans this is a slave race, under the grateful control of the Humans who they shall die for almost a foot shorter than your average human. Super advanced armor on the ships building off of human tech with fair weapons and weak boarders.
Live to 40.

Mercenaries
-----------
Malkien: Mercenaries, fight for any side that pays they are foot taller than the average human, pale purple-blue complexion, with long prehensile tails with cat-like eyes. All around average. Live to 120.

You're really going to make a space game linear with a preset set of outcomes?

Loco, that's generally what happens when you join the other side.

Name: Blikrâehr Gorktu Nimon
Age: 63
Gender: M
Race: Midor
Side: Fandor-Midor
Physical Description: Tall, thin and scarlet skinned. His liquid gold eyes seem to stare through your very soul as he gazes at you. His gait seems to strangely be both fluid and rigid at the same time.
Personality: He is merciless and unrelenting in all his endeavors, but he knows when to withdraw. He takes a methodical and objective approach to everything he does. With each attack and maneuver, it is as if he is dissecting the opponentâs defenses rather than merely overwhelming, as it may first appear. He can best be summed up as a scientific piranha.

Who said i wanted to be this independent race?

My ooint is tyat I like space ames for the wild frontier, freedom, ejdless possibilities and the futuristic combat, and hean forbd i try to spend the whole game flying around military ships and shooting the same people day in ajd day out. To put an entirely linear storyline in this space setting is just a sad massacre of potential in my opinion.

cept the problem is, there is little "neutral space" and you can either hide under your covers at home, in the middle of a battle field or where the people who are born into wanting to shoot you live

I dont mean you should throw out tue galactic war either, that's fine. But i 'll use Fallout NV as an example: would tye game realy have been that fun if you had to find out which Mofo shot you in tye face and couldnt go out and do whatever you want? No it wouldnt, in my opinion, and space offers a good medium for this. It just has so much limitless potential akd trying to limit it to one storyline and one set of plots is, as i said, a wholesale massacre of potential and the kind of game I like.
