Name: Arashi Kouken
Gender: Male
Age: 24
----------
Appearance: Tall, muscular, and swarthy, Arashi is every inch the ranger. Though older than his usual companions, Arashi is in the prime of his youth and is proud to show it-- six and a half feet tall, he's an even two hundred pounds. Despite his relatively youthful age, Arashi's hair is an unruly shock of white that he doesn't even bother trying to keep under control. His standard outfit consists of something that almost appears to be a ninja uniform, colored matte black-- certainly not something one would wear to a party, but more than practical for Arashi's usual work.

Kicking and struggling like a fish caught on a hook, Nicholas Blivio attempts to wrench himself out from under the hulking chunk of half-orc fat weighing him down, and takes a punch to the face for his trouble. The key here is that the half-orc is far bigger, not encumbered by weaponry, and... well, Nicholas just doesn't have the strength to haul such a creature off of him. Sudden free of the half-orc's pin anyways, though, the warrior aims a kick upwards. It isn't a particularly well-planned kick, but he manages to slam his foot into the half-orc's abdomen nonetheless, scrambling to his feet quickly and raising his sword.
The half-orc, however, is prepared, having been able to gather his limited wits while Nicholas had been getting to his feet, and moves in with a painful blow to the abdomen, as if in retribution. Nicholas feels (and hears) a rib crack. It's one of his own.
Fighting through the pain, the human draws back his sword, and thrusts it forth with the might of an underweight warrior with a cracked rib. However, this time he chose the right target, and by a stroke of luck his sword slips between the half-orc's ribs and strikes home just about where Nicholas judged a lung to be. The sickening squelch and hiss that followed confirms his suspicions, just around the time the angry, one-lunged orc punches him in the face again.
Meanwhile, Storm Keket Dragon is doing heated battle with her own assailant, and has considerably more success in getting to her feet unhindered, courtesy of Velevan's earlier Bolt spell. As her opponent raises himself, she slips by, feinting left and twirling like a ballerina to her right, and then stabbing him just underneath the left shoulderblade (also in much the same manner that I imagine a ballerina would stab someone).
As the injured half-orc turns and goes for a punch, which slams into her left elbow and actually wrenches the bones apart in ways bones were never meant to be wrenched apart, Storm manages to withdraw her daggers and, with a final, desperate show of bravery and strength, practically falls behind him, catching herself at the last moment by driving both daggers into his lower back on the way down.
One on either side of his lower spinal column, in fact.
The way that the two blades come together as she drags them downwards is a lot like how one imagines a guillotine would, severing the spine rather completely at that point. With a few kicking spasms, the half-orc's legs stiffen, bent in odd half-turning half-lunging positions. Down but not out, he ends the round biting Storm in the ankle and getting an arrow lodged in his face thanks to Arashi.
Twenty feet down the street, three orcs are converging on one mage, who has managed to convince himself that he's ready to move from breaking one orc's nose to taking on three of the creature's buddies on at once. Luckily, Arashi Kouken has seen his predicament, and as Velevan Windcaller advances the half-orcs take several arrows, not as well-aimed as the previous barrage but still very helpful. Within seconds, though, they meet Velevan in melee, and that's where things get interesting.
Staff jabs are actually pretty effective, and landing one to the neck is a pretty painful situation for the nearest half-orc to find himself in. Luckily, however, he has a buddy beside him... and that buddy quickly finds that a staff to the ankle, while not fatal, is very painful, his punch sailing through the air where Velevan's head had been moments ago. The momentum carries him to the ground, actually allowing him to shoulder the enterprising mage in the thigh, but still leaving him prostrate in the dirt.
Arashi, at this point, has several options. He could kill the fallen half-orcs, or make a go at the one still standing and coming at Velevan despite his scratchy breathing. He chooses the latter, putting an arrow in the half-orc's hip and staggering the creature before he can strike at Velevan, whose plan has ended just in time for him to retreat before the end of the round.
The part where, you know, Arashi shoots the half-orc biting Storm.

DAMAGES:Half-Orc A: He has been all but scalped by Nicholas's frenzied slashing, his cheek has a nice deep gash which happens to be gushing blood on the left side, his right knee has an arrow sticking out of the back, and his back is bruised from landing on a scrawny warrior. Oh, and his left lung has collapsed thanks to a stab wound.
Half-Orc B: Various slash and stab wounds would hinder his mobility to an extreme degree, were he conscious, but an arrow entering his left ear and poking out of his left eye into the dirt rather hinder that. He's out for the count, not dead by some miracle (small brain, small target) but not in the game anymore either.
Half-Orc C: He is very intoxicated. And he also has an arrow in the back of his right thigh.
Half-Orc D: His throat is bruised up nicely, and his windpipe is a bit constricted, having had a staff jabbed into it at point-blank range while charging. His left hip has been all but shattered by an arrow now lying broken in the mud a few feet away, but he can still stand. Walking is more of an issue.
Half-Orc E: His left ankle is twisted and bruised, but intact.
Half-Orc F: This little piggy is unconscious with a smashed face. The majority of what appears to be his nose is lying a few feet away, and there is an arrow in the back of his right knee.
Storm Keket Dragon: A bruise of a dark, unpleasant purple shade now adorns her left elbow, which has been bent at rather an odd angle, leaving the arm usable but not really bendable. The front of her right ankle sports a bite mark which is bleeding a bit but not really hindering her otherwise.
Velevan Windcaller: Apart from being bloodied and now a bit sweaty as well, and his left thigh is sore, with a very light bruise forming. Bolt will be ready for use in 18 more seconds.
Nicholas Blivio: His lungs are still slightly constricted, though quickly returning to full capacity, and his back is bruised and cut from smashing into the ground. There is a nice red gash where the hilt of his sword actually hit his own shoulder, his nose is broken in two entirely different places and not looking too much like a nose anymore, and the pain from this is no small matter. Black spots occasionally obscure his vision, as does blood from his shattered nose. The rest of his face is alright though, so... well, small victories. If he were drunk or untrained he would be unconscious right now.
Arashi Kouken: Still a strikingly handsome devil clad all in black, and still standing on a rooftop. Aim will be ready for use in 28 more seconds.

POSITIONS:Half-Orc A is standing at a very strange angle, cradling his empty, flapping lung just in front of Nicholas Blivio. Five feet away from them, across the street, Half-Orc B's incapacitated body lies at Storm Keket Dragon's feet. Twenty feet down the street from them, Half-Orc C is limp-jogging furiously towards Velevan Windcaller, who is facing Half-Orc D at point-blank range ten more feet down the street. Half-Orc E is on the ground directly to his left-hand side, almost in a position to continue fighting, and Arashi Kouken is about ten feet to Velevan's right, standing on a rooftop. The body of Half-Orc F is on the ground between them, unconscious and not feeling well.
[Apologies for the delay, but the round was extra brutal as compensation. Yesterday I had a science project due and a dental appointment, and... I've only actually managed to get about a dozen hours of sleep total in the past few days, which isn't something I'm good at handling. Almost fell asleep in class a few times. I'll probably be faster than this most of the time, but anyways, forgive me for this one.
Also, just so you know, each round is 6 seconds. You should probably keep that in mind when writing your moves, because otherwise your character will either continue one repetitive strategy all round or retreat when the move is complete, which worked here for Velevan but will usually put you in a bad place as far as damage goes. Plan for 6-second moves. It's better to leave a move incomplete and have to improvise next round than to just waste a round standing around ineffectually because your move only took up a single second.
ItBoMS will be updated tonight as well, in case anyone's wondering.]
