Since I still find the quality of RPGs here still majorly suck ***, I've decided to critique any RPGs if they want it. just post your RPG here, and I will tell you what to improve on.
For any of those who hate to be insulted, beware. I will not sugar coat anything. I will be blunt, harsh, and rude if I need to.
So, first of all, a point I majorly hate about everything in Armor Games is grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization. You are missing capitalization and some punctuation. This will make your games look more polished and thought out.
Secondly, you need to give more background about the game. Not much people will bother to look up what the Napoleonic wars were about. Background will give players insight about the game and get more people interested. While it's too late to change it now, keep that in mind for later.
Thirdly, detail. Detail in each post shows your players you put effort into hosting the game. It also allows for better experiences playing. Would you rather have:
"You walked down the creepy hallway."
or
"You creep over the wooden hallway, careful of your surroundings. You can hear eerie creaks from each step on the untended wooden planks. You think you see something in the corner of your eye as you turn around quickly to no avail."
Remember, your game is there to entertain and invigorate the players. A good RPG leaves an impression. It makes you want to play a game like it again.
yeah i like putting in detail, but i usually can't think of what, i mean i can put that all there in that creepy hallway post, but what if they simply say "I go down it" doesn't give me much to work with
It depends on where they are. For example, that could be a reply to if beforehand you said they where in a deserted or empty manor. When they say "I go down it" reply with whatever you can.
Besides, if you weren't imaginative enough to decide to make an RPG, why do it anyway?
well i prefer to have "good" players (the kind that think and reply good) but i just have a harder time with players who enjoy not explaining themselves, and who have a hard time acting IC. i had a very good player on Rpol, she could act IC good and was very good with giving good posts, and i responded accordingly.
Gariss, I will not do it because the Create a Planets are not that much of a RPG in that sense.
Veksing, I have to say, you are quite a good hoster. You have consistent detail and etiquette. Of course, one thing is background (see up). In your story, there is no background or story about the game. You should ask yourself many questions while making an RPG, such as "What is my world like?" or "How do the world come to be this way?". In your RPG, it may be a post-apocalyptic world for all I know. These kind of details are important. RPGers all have different tastes, and appealing to those tastes gets more people playing.
Course, you do have tons of people waiting to play.
If you want an example of a good host, check out this.

That is good advice. To be honest, I never really thought of that even though I should have. Thanks.
I feel like some people in this forum make too many games at once. And usually, those are the same people that quit hosting the games after about 5 pages. I hate the games where the hosts only put three sentences into the story line and then just throw you into the mix of everything. Its very half-assed and not worth the time. Why make a game if your just gonna put minimal effort into it?
And that game that Kanine made (Knights of Graes) actually had a good story line, and he said that it was his very first time hosting a game, too. I have no clue if that was a lie or not, but if he stays away from it for too long, I think I will re-create it and tweak it a bit after I finish with Super Hero/Villain... which won't be anytime soon.
