Since I still find the quality of RPGs here still majorly suck ***, I've decided to critique any RPGs if they want it. just post your RPG here, and I will tell you what to improve on.
For any of those who hate to be insulted, beware. I will not sugar coat anything. I will be blunt, harsh, and rude if I need to.
No, not at all. It was directed at emochick, mainly. Blk has been known to do the same thing also, but he doesn't appear to be posting in this forum anymore. I'm sure there are more people who do it, but I haven't seen the games you host yet. I played in one of your RPGs before, but I can't remember what it was like.
Yeah, quitting games as a Host or a player is a pretty bad habit, and I'm being really hypocritical here, like I haven't done it myself.. But I don't make that many games, and when I do they are usually pretty in depth and complicated, and if I quit them I mainly have good reasons.
I know a couple of those guys myself who make 15 games at the same time and quit them all, then repeat. I'm not giving any names here. (..emochick)
Anyhow, If anyone is interested, I just updated my Profile. Planning a new RPG, I might even need some critique for it when it gets started.
That's the one. Once again, sorry for quitting it, man you wouldn't believe the data I had behind the thing! Evolutions, species scores, you have to understand!
Well, how does the new game sound? The bio on my profile only has a tiny bit of information on it, but I'm planning on starting it today anyway so then you'll get to busting that thing and breaking my heart x] Nah, you do your thing. No sugar needed.
The way I see it is that the players get a better idea of the creatures when they see them as drawings. Besides, I love drawing and it's not the first time I've used my drawings in my games :]
That's just my style, there should be no need to worry about that.
My main problem here though, is that players see it and automatically think "It's just another apocalypse survival game.." which I don't want. I want this one to be different, and the unique creatures should bring that part out, I hope. What do you think?
I also have a map of the area, there's a river going through the area, there's some forests at the sides of the area, but they are close to the "Danger-Zone" so getting wood (hehe) is a bit of a risk. I'm just explaining the game to you here before I make the real thing, this way I can still fix it before starting.
But if you want to make it unique, feature in the description more about the gameplay and make the story sound different than another apocalypse survival games.
Well, I did what I did, there's not much story I could put in it at the beginning anyway, but I did put a lot of sections for gameplay mechanics. Check it out, It's out now.
They're good-ish, but for one thing, don't listen to bluerabbit. Background and story are the same thing. His opinion is not one everybody likes. Mostly disregard his comments.
Loco: Your replies are well enough, even though most of the time they're a little short.
Hey Bluydee, I know the above really isn't a RPG, but it has elements of one. I went ahead and made a beta to work the bugs out, but after seeing this thread I was hoping you could give me some tips. Post 4 is another potential layout of the rules. Suggestions or changes?
