You wake up. You know nothing at all you don't remember anything. You are in a vehicle of sorts that has crashed. You have people surrounding you. They know nothing as well. You walk around the vehicle when you find the controls. You put your hands on a panel when a video appears.

You remaining people start a civilization. It will not be easy but I think you can do it. I will grant you a gift. You already know the english language but you need to use it. You can research things. all things you research will branch from the english language. You have three things you can choose. Writing: With this you can keep records of all you have done. I upgrade my port by 2

I start allocating large area's in between my capital and village to production of windmills.

Workers are told to dig a alternate route for water to flow. basically the river is closed and then a route is dug from inside the closed of area to the outside and a water wheel is built there. If we close the river the water will be diverted to pass the water wheel if we open the river the water will not flow in such force to the water wheel making it so that the water wheel does not function efficiently but in compensation transport can be done over the river.

All of this takes 2 years. Your explorers find 3 good locations. 1 in a desert oasis that is connected to the river and if you dig you will find oil. 1 in a wooded area/grassy plain where many farms and carpenter houses can be built(it is windy hear. may come in handy later. and 1 in the ocean not too far from the coast is a group of small islands that can be joined by bridges. which ones will you settle.

Actions:
I don't see why I must choose one of three. I set up an immediate village on wooded/grassy area. The others I set up military outposts for the time being and post a thousand of each unit type in each outpost. I start connecting the outposts and villages with the capital using roads. Except for the outpost on the islands, I start building bridges in the chain of islands.

Possible Gameplay additions:

Ramming boat: a boat with an armored tip it is capable of ramming boats with little damage to itself.

Ballista Boat: Boat that is armed with ballista it is capable of long range fire and destruction of crucial structures (Eg. the sail, cabins, etc.)

Cannon Boat: Boat that is heavily armed with cannons it can deal heavy damage to a boat but is less accurate than the ballista in its targeting.

Boarding Boat: A fast boat that is heavily armed with men almost always guarded by military boats it fires harpoons to draw the enemy in, and if the crew is overpowerd takes control of the boat (in doing so both boats lose military strength, usually used before withdrawing the captured boat and the boarding boat)

Interceptors: Small boats armed with either a ballista or cannon they are used to overtake fleeing or withdrawing enemy boats. Used in groups/squads.

Experimental ideas (possible but might be overpowered):

Capital Boat: A boat made with specific instructions of massive potential for damage, each country makes their own and as such has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, weaknesses are decided by what is built (eg. An extremely powerful tanking boat would be slow and as such), boat is heavily armored and extremely powerful.

You can now build cars. Travel time cut in half. Every stat increased by random increments. Pop increase X16 every year. takes one year for everything. You have discovered all you can for now. Now upgrade military and building and continue to explore.

(By intelligent life i mean find other intelligent life. Aliens basicly. They will be technologically close or a little ahead of you but you have not discovered them yet)

It takes one year for all of this to happen. cars and jeeps increase economy and military to ten. Free market and trade fleet increase econ to 15. Cities and towns expand. The parties get lost then eventually find eachother. They make one 150 armed party. ALERT! The Party has discovered some natives. They say they are advanced and they know your language. Do you make peace with them and start trading?

I make peace and start trading.
I start expanding the 2 cities to metro.
I increase the numbers of the units in the Armed Warfare Division by 2x.
I create a free backup military training camp for the citizens. basically milita.

I post a thousand of each unit in all the cities.

I create the Defense Council, an elected council (from military) that organizes the Granite Dock defense, the monarch has ultimate power but they act as the controller of the forces if the monarch does not have time to do so. They have the power to increase military numbers by up to 50% per year, are able to create defense outposts and of the such. They are nominated from soldiers that have helped the country and are elected by the military. They are unable to declare war.

I create the Economic Council, a trusted and elected council responsible for economics actions within the country. They have the power to create new businesses, sanction mining operations, create new towns and send out armed parties of up to 300 of each unit type, they are unable to declare war. Monarch retains ultimate control over the council decisions.

I create the War Council, a secretive council the council is not in any type of power unless the country is under attack, they are all paid normally as if they were on a council but are not known to the public nor does the war council exist to the public. Once in affect they are capable of rapidly creating forces(any amount), and are able to change the country threat level, 18 exist they are called into effect after the country reaches threat level 9 and above and are capable of controlling the threat level after that, the threat level as of now is 18. The monarch still has ultimate control over the council but it is a method of rapid creating and employment of troops if the monarch is unable to make such a call.
