Other than that, it's well drawn. And your shading is fine I mean I'm going to assume that you weren't going for super-realism, and it honestly looks just fine to me. (Hatsune) Miku's face seems a bit off, but I can't put my finger on it. And I think her hands are too small...but yey. Now you look even more like a drooling otaku! XD (as you once said somewhere)

Frustrated at the improvement process. Lines are too bold/dark and seem very kiddish. Need to find a way across at some point, or be stuck like this.

Rikka's a character from an anime I've started reading. She has that eyepatch cause she suffers from medical delusions and she believes that she has a witch's eye so to speak.

I think I'm beginning to understand the anatomy of a person (or the vastly smaller and disproportionately cute one of a Chibi); I didn't know before that drawing seriously meant actually understanding the minute joints/bone structures! Of course, it matters much less for a Chibi, but still.....Oh, and this thread will be a literal diary, so expect moar of these inane ramblings and self-notes. :3

Non Chibi for once.

A slightly more mature Hatsune Miku with glasses. Her right hand is abit small, and I had trouble with her.....knickers, so the skirt is awkward. I tried.

I continue to like it. The perspective on the first one throws me off a little, but it's good. The hands in both your drawings look on the small, but it's better than giant yaoi hands. And on the bottom one, the feet seem crooked for some reason. I don't know. Maybe I'm just staring at it too hard.
But the rest of it is fabulous I really like the glasses and the hair on the lower Miku. When I chance doodling human-shaped things, glasses end up looking like some sort of scar that ruins their faces, so normal glasses and anime-style glasses are great. And that hair looks so magical and poofy XD
One more thing: The thing she's holding onto in the second picture....what exactly is that?

Thank you, that was nice of you. Yes, the hands seem a bit small, but yes, I would prefer those infinitely over giant dustpan hands. I'm still working on getting the basics done. Glasses are a definite problem.

Oh, it's a mic! Sorry, it was cut off because my phone's camera isn't can't get the whole photo; either the width or height! The mic's legs are terribly out of proportion.

I found a source of new inspiration and design to refer to; and it's thanks to you Storm. Rozen Maiden! I mean ok, it's more a girl targeted manga, but the characters are adorable.

First time drawing Suigintou from Rozen Maiden; those scale like things on her wrists are the lace. :X
