Hey, I really want to learn flash, is there any way I could learn without spending LOADS of money? Because I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars for something I probably won't be good at.
You would go through a tutorial of some sort, doing what the tutorial tells you to do on your copy of Flash. That's how you learn ActionScript, not Flash. Learning the Flash is like learning the iTunes.
If you want to familiarize yourself with ActionScript, then I recommend using FlashDevelop. I's a free-source code editor, which means it allows you to write games/programs, and doesn't cost any money.
They are; they're made as SWFs, but there is limitations to the FlashDevelop. See [url=http://armorgames.com/community/thread/5350066/help-needed-does-anybody-knows-something-about-flashdevelop]
And why is there limitations? As in limitations to what you can make?
I had the same question just a day or so ago. Here you can find my question/thread.
To my knowledge of Flash, which is admittedly limited, I do not believe there are limitations on the final product. However, FlashDevelop cannot create the product as quickly as with Flash CS4. If I'm wrong (probably true), then someone please correct me.
Flash CS4 can make things visually while FlashDevelop can't so I recommend CS4 but I think you should wait until Flash CS5 comes out(soon) and get that. I got CS4 but I'll get CS5 as soon as it is available to me.
Just don't talk about the cost because I'm always tempted to help people out but I can't because of the rules.
Like what part of actionnScript? There's always a bunch of good tutorials. I personally like Flash Game Tutorials. Good luck though if you try to learn it. It's a complex language but you can do a lot with it.
