Okay, so, apparently TRF wants to lose the old thread until such time as Dibs sees fit to return.
So, as per his request, I have made a new thread. I, of course, don't see exactly why this is necessary, but I suppose it won't hurt anything to accommodate Turf.
So, I guess this will just be a continuation of the prior thread with the old characters and we'll pick up where Dibs left off. I suggested that Noob DM this one, but being that he doesn't have any of the source material beyond what's on the internet, he declined. That being the case, if there are no objections, I guess I will be DMing this one. I won't have access to my books myself for another week or two, so if it's okay, I guess I'll be using a homemade campaign. And as far as the campaign goes, expect to see a lot of stuff that's not exactly D&D canon, because, as I said, I don't have my sourcebooks right now. Unless, of course, someone else wants to DM, in which case, I'd be more than happy to step aside.
Unfortunately, I do not think that this game will be accepting any more players. This thread is here for the sole purpose of reducing clutter in the other. It will actually be a lot easier - it was getting to be a pain, navigating that other one with all the pages it had(we were almost at 4,000!).
To start off, I'm going to request that we all post our sheets(I'll track mine down later) and if there is anyone who would like to DM or has any requests to that effect or which concern the next campaign, speak now or forever hold your peace.
Cheers.

I'm going to just continue on here...

You begin the journey southward through the wilderness to Trailstone. It's about sixty miles away, but you are heavily slowed down by the terrain. The first twenty miles, in extremely rocky terrain, you move only 24 miles a day.
On the second day, however, you have just emerged from the last of the rocky terrain. You are standing on a hill, looking south. You can see quite a ways away, and all of that is hills. Most of the landscape is covered with lush forestry, but there are a few farms sprinkled here and there. There is a small trail which meanders in a general southern direction.
You travel for the next 10 miles on the path successfully, but then spot something.
Standing in the middle of the barely visible path is a most unusual creature. The sleek lion's body is tense, as if it were about to spring, while its wings are outstretched. While the face is that of an attractive human female, it is drawn tightly. Clearly, this beast has known her share of hardships. She does not appear to be overly friendly. A soft sound comes from her throat, halfway between a growl and a purr.

"Ah, come on!"
He jumps off of his horse and draws his sword.
"Why does this keep happening to us!?"

"Cause you touch yourself at night," goes into a fighting stance after he gets of his horse.

"This is a dangerous area," replies the creature. "That must account for some things."

He sighs.
"So, we going to kill this thing? She looks pretty hungry."

He lowers his sword.

"Hey!" she looks offended. "I'm not a thing!"
"Please forgive my companion," Rafel says. "He does not speak for all of us.
"Of course," she growls deep in her throat. "Now that he mentions it, I actually am pretty hungry, but everyone deserves a chance." She sighs. "Even racists such as your friend. If you give me an ioun stone, I'll tell you a secret. And I'll let you pass without eating you."

He lowers his sword.
"You can talk? May I ask you what you are, ma'am?"

"Much better," she says. "I was beginning to think you had no manners at all. To answer your question, I am a gynosphinx. And no," she continues sarcastically, "I can't talk, actually. I'm SPEAKIN TO YOU...and I can't talk. Somehow that works. Maybe you've gone insane, and you're imagining me."
"A gynosphinx?" Rafel says. "Forgive me for saying so, but...this is many, many miles north of the gynosphinx stalking grounds."
"...There may or may not have been a totally ridiculous, COMPLETELY UNWARRANTED exile..." she mutters.

Do any of us have any ioune stones, "well I have no idea what you are so until I do your a thing to me, so what are you."

Nope, but you might be able to barter.

"I have never heard of your race, ma'am. Do you have a name you go by?"

"I have never heard of your race, ma'am. Do you have a name you go by?"

"Yes, well, that is par for the course here. But south, where the sphinx runs rampant, you could not meet a person who did not quiver in fear at the strength and genius of the magnificent sphinx!" She trails off for a moment, her eyes glazed, then returns to normal. "Oh. Right. Sorry about that. You may call me Andeeyloplardii."
