Okay, so, apparently TRF wants to lose the old thread until such time as Dibs sees fit to return. So, as per his request, I have made a new thread. I, of course, don't see exactly why this is necessary, but I suppose it won't hurt anything to accommodate Turf. So, I guess this will just be a continuation of the prior thread with the old characters and we'll pick up where Dibs left off. I suggested that Noob DM this one, but being that he doesn't have any of the source material beyond what's on the internet, he declined. That being the case, if there are no objections, I guess I will be DMing this one. I won't have access to my books myself for another week or two, so if it's okay, I guess I'll be using a homemade campaign. And as far as the campaign goes, expect to see a lot of stuff that's not exactly D&D canon, because, as I said, I don't have my sourcebooks right now. Unless, of course, someone else wants to DM, in which case, I'd be more than happy to step aside. Unfortunately, I do not think that this game will be accepting any more players. This thread is here for the sole purpose of reducing clutter in the other. It will actually be a lot easier - it was getting to be a pain, navigating that other one with all the pages it had(we were almost at 4,000!). To start off, I'm going to request that we all post our sheets(I'll track mine down later) and if there is anyone who would like to DM or has any requests to that effect or which concern the next campaign, speak now or forever hold your peace. Cheers.
"Yes," says the bartender, snatching the coin, "but you are all too drunk for your own good anyway. You should get home before you cause serious trouble."
Besides I thought you were going sleepy beddy bye time already.
I never said that. I said we would continue this thread in the morning. And Dibs, seriously, if you can't DM the other thread, stop letting it die and let somebody else DM it, mkay? Toss out the "fragile moment" in your pivotal campaign, because you're not DMing it, you're letting it die. It's like a goldfish that's starving and hasn't been fed in weeks because you're busy, but you won't let anyone else feed it because you have it on a special diet.
The next morning, you awake and continue on your journey to Castle Spulzeer. You travel along a decaying, unkempt road from Trailstone to Castle Spulzeer. You are heading south on what was once a well-maintained road. It is now little more than a pair of wagon wheel ruts holding stagnant water and a central knoll of corrupted, greenish-black grass. The surrounding countryside is strange, almost otherworldly. Just a mile outside Trailstone, the trees have lost most of their leaves, or perhaps they never had them. Mists rise from the forest, and the sun seems to have lost its warmth. A definite chill lingers in the air. Your animals appear skittish, and are reluctant to continue. You are forced to urge them along every step of the way. Suddenly, a dozen or so creatures leap at you from the ground, the dead trees, the dusty rocks. They attack once, nipping at every bit of exposed flesh with eroded but still sharp teeth. Perhaps they were once squirrels or stoats-their long tails retain a few bristled patches, their mangy body hair hangs in spare clumps on their warped, misshapen frames. By the time that you are able to muster any sort of response, they have already vanished into the dense wilderness beyond. Bel takes 2 damage, Free takes 5, Rafel takes 8, and Carl takes 7.
