Okay, so, apparently TRF wants to lose the old thread until such time as Dibs sees fit to return.
So, as per his request, I have made a new thread. I, of course, don't see exactly why this is necessary, but I suppose it won't hurt anything to accommodate Turf.
So, I guess this will just be a continuation of the prior thread with the old characters and we'll pick up where Dibs left off. I suggested that Noob DM this one, but being that he doesn't have any of the source material beyond what's on the internet, he declined. That being the case, if there are no objections, I guess I will be DMing this one. I won't have access to my books myself for another week or two, so if it's okay, I guess I'll be using a homemade campaign. And as far as the campaign goes, expect to see a lot of stuff that's not exactly D&D canon, because, as I said, I don't have my sourcebooks right now. Unless, of course, someone else wants to DM, in which case, I'd be more than happy to step aside.
Unfortunately, I do not think that this game will be accepting any more players. This thread is here for the sole purpose of reducing clutter in the other. It will actually be a lot easier - it was getting to be a pain, navigating that other one with all the pages it had(we were almost at 4,000!).
To start off, I'm going to request that we all post our sheets(I'll track mine down later) and if there is anyone who would like to DM or has any requests to that effect or which concern the next campaign, speak now or forever hold your peace.
Cheers.

I spoke too soon.

I was busy typing the monster wall of text that follows.

After a few moments, Namble takes another deep breath then continues shakily.
"About six months ago, Sharill Beaufort, the younger sister of my fiancee, Arayea, was chosen as the Daughter of Selune. Moonhearth is a very religious village, and she was selected to fill this position for the coming year. The 'Daughter' is believed by the villagers to be the goddess's avatar and is celebrated as such through the coming year.
A couple of months after being chosen, however, she began behaving in a most unseemly manner-in an angry rage one moment, weeping penitently the next. Now her complexion is sickly pale, almost colorless, and she seems to have drawn away from the goddess as well as the rest of the villagers. She refuses to wear or even approach her holy symbol, screaming if anyone so much as comes near her with it." At this, Namble's voice falters and cracks. He swallows, then continues with obvious difficulty.
"Nothing excites her; she sleeps through the day and only seems to come alive at night. There are those who say, 'Well, Selune is the goddess of the moon, and so Sharill responds to the seasons of the moon.' But her sister Arayea and I are not so sure; we are convinced that some illness-or worse- has befallen her, and we need someone versed in the arts of healing to treat her.
In addition, there have been disappearances. Three people had vanished the last time we visited. My men and I looked into it, but found no more than the local constable did. I'm certain the two things are not tied together, but we need outside help with fresh viewpoints. Perhaps heroes such as yourselves might better understand these strange goings on.
We are simple soldiers, content with our happy lives in Moonhearth. These events are beyond our understanding. We need your help. Please come to Moonhearth with us. We can pay you. We have a fund."
At this, Namble snaps his fingers and the same young subordinate who placed the money in the treasure chest before hurries up, and hands over a parchment scroll to the officer.
Reading the ledger, Namble tells you, "We can afford to pay you 10 gold, 19 silver, and 27 copper pieces. And, of course, we will waive your fee. Please understand, it's all we have. We are equipped with mounts provided by the government for this job, and we will accompany you as far as the Hillfort of Keshla, although we will not enter there."

In 10 minutes, I will be gone for 1.5-2 hours and I will be back after that time. Sorry, the anime calls me.

God don't tell me I'm going to be the big bad guy terrorizing this poor village.

Don't worry, it's not you.

O: "Of course we will help you."

Namble smiles broadly, and at the same time tears shine in his eyes.
"Thank you!" he says, falling to his knees. Then he recovers and stands back up, looking rather embarrassed. "It's late in the day," he continues, glancing up at the sun just beginning to set in the west. "Moonhearth is almost fifty miles away from here, a full day's ride. We should rest before continuing. You are more than welcome to stay the night with us in our encampment, if you would like. We have a few spare bedrolls that are open to you. We can even provide a meal."

I'm not gone :O

Menara tries her best to hide a laugh, and stops after a few seconds of it.

I was thinking the same thing... No response from the guards on her laugh?

I know you play CoD, so do you know if Ninja Pro or Ghost Pro are worth all the hassle?

If anyone needs me I will be watching Royal Pains, and trying to level up my pokemon so I will pretty much be out of reach, but I will randomly check in.

There are better options on both fronts for sure.

Nope. They're so grateful to the party right now, she could probably break Namble Switleg's nose and they wouldn't do anything.
Not that she should break his nose or anything...that was just an example
