There are too many "Kill _" threads popping out there. This one is different.
First of all, you are only limited to the technology that is available. You must not only kill the man, but you must also discover new technology before the guy gets too powerful.
Also, the guy gains powers and skills. One change is that the guy's HP grows to the quadratic formula based on the posts from his last death... (x squared [just multiply X by itself])
Just a few rules to start with...
No attacking yourself No discovering technology in an instant
I put some burning rock on a stick and use it ti light up a cave. I then try to use the black stones that burn to melt some of the rocks. I call the burning rocks coal.
As I am practicing with my spear, I come across a man with a sword (Chess) and want my own. So, I decide to go dig up some stone, and when I'm done, I still have some left over. My blade doesn't have a handle, so I just heat the rock and pound it into a cylindrical shape and attach it at the end. I now have a monochromatic sword with a stone handle. I practice fighting with this.

I guess I'll take that, considering you're not the first to burn a rock. Though coal usually comes from fossils, I believe...

I charge him with my sword, shield and bowl-hat and begin hacking him to bits.
He is rather surprised, but he grabs his shield and blocks some attacks. He does receive some damage, though.

I get an idea, what if I make the bow horizontal, and put a piece of wood under it for better accuracy. Can I drop the arrows into a fire?
You drop some arrows into a fire and they burn up. You exepriment with your ideas and make a crossbow. (though a trebuchet or a ballista would be better
I stick some coal in another bowl-hat and put one, upside down, on top of it so it makes a hollow sphere. I meld them together and make a hole in the top and stick a vine in it. I give it to the guy, with some flint to make a fire and tell him that if you light the fine while sitting on the ball, something fun will happen.
