Story: Legends tell of humanoid creatures with skin black like coal. They have the ability to read people's minds, and can use this to their advantage. It is said that they will eventually destroy the world... But with the Great War seizing the lives of thousands of soldiers, mythical demons with no evidence of existence seem like the least of the world's worries. You have finally decided to become an adventurer. Easy, you think; Travel around the world, make some money, come back and retire. Little did you know that your adventures would be much more exciting and important...Possibly one of the most important adventures ever.
Details: READ THIS! In this game you can do whatever you want, as long as you eventually get to the main storyline. If you assist someone in some way, they may be willing to follow and fight with you. There are also mercenaries, who will do anything for you, as long as you have enough gold. You can also gather a group of people to make a small army. Your small army can go into mini-wars with other small armies. As you can see from the sheet below, there's also a Romance section; You can even get married! This is also a multiplayer game, so players can interact with other players. There are no specific classes to choose from (Warrior, Mage, Rogue, ect.) because I think there shouldn't be restrictions to what things you can do. Obviously, though, you can't just cast a fireball at a group of enemies unless you learn that spell. If you have any questions about the game, just ask. Have fun!

You look through the book, and find a picture of a creature that looks exactly like what you saw. The book says it's a mythical demon that can read people's minds (Main storyline, finally). However, it says it has other powers as well. There's a full list of it's abilities:

It also says that it is hostile to anyone it sees. You hear the screams of the soldiers that went searching for it.

The other soldiers heard their screams, and they're dying too now. One of them swings randomly around with his sword, hoping to get lucky. He hit's it, and it becomes visible. Blood is dripping from it's arm, but it uses it's claws to rip the soldier's head off. You then see the soldiers attacking each other(Mind control). The creature flies off again and the mind control wears off. Now everybody's either dead or wounded. "Quickly" says a dying soldier. "Go to the city to the north. Inform the king about this, we need to kill this thing before it destroys us all."

You use your sword to kill him. -1 Good/Bad. Nobody saw you, so nothing else happens. You go back to the Tavern and collect your reward. +50 Gold. Before you can accept another job, a human walks up to you. "Please help me." he says. "Me and my fellow soldiers were attacked by a strange creature. We sent someone to inform the king of Nydrim in Kahel(see map), but we need all the help we can get to kill it. If you help us we can give you a lot of gold. Come as soon as you can." This is the main storyline, so you have no choice but to come. But I recommend putting together your small army before going, as the creature you're searching for is powerful. When you exit the Tavern, you see a building with a sign that says Clan Creation Building(Here's your chance).

The book didn't say what the creature was called. Or maybe you just didn't read enough, since you only read a small part of it. "Very well, you may enter." You go inside, and a guard says "If you wish to speak with the king, the throne room is over there." He points down a hall. You enter the room and tell the king what happened. "Interesting..." he says. "We will send troops there immediately. But we need your help, since you seem to know more about this thing than anyone else. Meet our soldiers outside the city in a few minutes. Here, take this. It may help you in your journeys." He hands you a strange-looking sword.

He sees the book, which you've decided to keep with you. "You should finish reading that. It may help to fight against it." He joins the other soldiers and marches into the forest.
