Story: Legends tell of humanoid creatures with skin black like coal. They have the ability to read people's minds, and can use this to their advantage. It is said that they will eventually destroy the world... But with the Great War seizing the lives of thousands of soldiers, mythical demons with no evidence of existence seem like the least of the world's worries. You have finally decided to become an adventurer. Easy, you think; Travel around the world, make some money, come back and retire. Little did you know that your adventures would be much more exciting and important...Possibly one of the most important adventures ever.
Details: READ THIS! In this game you can do whatever you want, as long as you eventually get to the main storyline. If you assist someone in some way, they may be willing to follow and fight with you. There are also mercenaries, who will do anything for you, as long as you have enough gold. You can also gather a group of people to make a small army. Your small army can go into mini-wars with other small armies. As you can see from the sheet below, there's also a Romance section; You can even get married! This is also a multiplayer game, so players can interact with other players. There are no specific classes to choose from (Warrior, Mage, Rogue, ect.) because I think there shouldn't be restrictions to what things you can do. Obviously, though, you can't just cast a fireball at a group of enemies unless you learn that spell. If you have any questions about the game, just ask. Have fun!

You throw your sword, and it hits it in the face. It staggers back then pulls the sword from it's head and throws it aside, still alive. Now you're unarmed, but Taldar lends you a hand and slices it's head off from behind. Now that yours is dead, you have a chance to look around. Kanlyn is still dodging branches while shooting in the air, Taldar is swinging at it but it dodges easily and Duvin is trying to outmaneuver it. The human soldiers are also struggling to kill theirs. And apparently the creatures were just toying with you. When they see their fallen comrade they get serious, and they give you a taste of their true power. You are all thrown onto the ground. The humans start attacking each other, meaning they have mind control powers. What do you do?

You retrieve your sword and attempt to sneak up on it, but it detects you somehow. It disappears and reappears behind you, then it picks you up and throws you in the center of the fighting humans. The creature makes all the humans attack you, but you are able to escape without killing any. Just as they are about to kill you, a much larger one appears in the sky. This one is at least 20 feet tall. It lets out a deafening roar and they all disappear. The humans regain their own minds and everyone recovers. A human messenger comes along with a book. "Uthik found out what these things are!" He hands the book to the soldier captain, who reads the first page. "This is all a bunch of nonsense." he says, "Tell Uthik he needs to stop reading these stupid legends and find something actually useful for us." The messenger gives the book to you. "Read this, it has a lot of information on these things."

You read the book. The creature is called a Xundaer. They're a type of demon that is supposedly going to destroy the world. The larger one is called the Zesantar, and is their leader. Their powers include:

It says that their weaknesses are weapons made out of Rhyael, a special type of rune found in a mine in Tysar. However, the Rhyael runes were moved to Sequis forest thousands of years ago because the elves were the only species wise enough to keep such powerful items out of the wrong hands. So if you want to make a weapon out of it, you have to talk with the elves. But before you go into the forest you may want to speak with Uthik, the person the messenger mentioned.

You rename the sword and attack the skeletons. It doesn't have any effect on them, and acts as a normal sword. But you're still able to kill them. You open the door, and see a huge army on Undead in the city, and all the civilians are either dead or captured. They are lead by a Xundaer, and are trying to reach the castle to kill the king. They haven't noticed you yet, and you might be able to sneak around to the castle. Or you could just go berserk on them, killing every moving thing you see, hoping to survive. Which would be unlikely, since their numbers are huge. So best to sneak around.
