I have an idea. Remember Roanoke. well what if it became an underground city...literally. in the game you could pick your faction and class as well as if you were in a high school or on your own. there would be three factions. the police. the rebels, the group that opposes the current government. and the academy students which are a form of mercernary. the classes are combatant, magician, or combat magician. a combatant is a basic fighter with a sword. a magician uses magic to fight and to do daily tasks. the combat magician has a sword with one specific element that can be controled through the sword and he/she is able to use minor charms and curses. the city is similar to london and the culture is a combo of 1780's and modern 21st century.

@ mechninja:Sounds good but you will always need at least a beginning plot. ask yourself these questions to form an idea of the plot
Where are you?
When is it?
What is the country's state?
what are the creatures?
Why do they obey you?
etc. etc. basic questions that will help you in the long run

@WorstSniper:It sounds like a good game but you need at least some story remember that.

Yeah, I will probably put some story behind the land, but I will not align the players to it unless they want to pursue it.

@worstsniper: good idea let the players decide whether they want to affect the history of the land. that is an rpg i would play

Cardibard: Um I have no idea of what an underground roanoke is but it looks good, I would add a fourth class that could use ranged weapons, and I would call them the ranger class. Of course you don't have to add a fourth class, just thought it would make it a little more interesting.

@shadowgun:i was thinking of a fourth class with range but rangers have been used too much so i think i will call them snipers since the culture is a mix of 1780's and now

I'd be happy to host it! So basically it's a forum game with no specific story? Great! I've done that before, so I'm familiar with it. I'll brainstorm and make a rough draft of it now, and I can have it up sometime tomorrow.

Fantasy Animals RPG

It takes place in my signature fantasy world, Olarnith(I can't even remember how I came up with the name). Takes place while Maizair was conquering the world. The twist is...you play as an animal. There are both real-life and fantasy creatures to choose from. You will help the more...humanoid...races of the world to defeat Maizair. Why would to help them? Because Maizair's empire murdered your family, that's why. So you're on a quest for revenge...as an animal. You start as a child and grow to an adult. Maizair also used animals for spell tests and made them age at strange rates and give them the ability to communicate telepathically. So here you begin.

@endlessrampage: first what do you think of my idea? second maybe you could add pegasi(basicly the same as the horse but with flying), basilisk's(Low speed,med attack, high defense, petrify), kraken(low speed,high attack,med defense,swim), giant crab(Med speed,med attack, med defense,swim), lion(med speed,high attack,low defense), honey badger(Med speed,low attack,med defense, manueverability)

Awesome, I already have a -physical- map set up by the way. If you want to look at it, just mention and I will give you a link or just post the picture onto here.

Also I would like to think of some other animals, they should be balanced enough. Just give me some time. =P

How about more flying animals, like eagles (High speed, med attack, low defense, flying) falcons, (Very high speed, med attack, low defense, flying).

I think it would be more interesting to have normal animals rather than a dragon or a gryphon. However, I suggest they can have special transformations or spirit forms instead, keeping those legionaries legendary. Now, if one wished for airborne animals I'd suggest modest-sized, nimble animals like bats, sparrows, and maybe hawks. Remember, they have magical affinity for a reason.

@Fethery It IS original.TONS of people make dragon RPG's.My first rpg was a dragon rpg in fact.So,I'm not copying you.

The earth was hit with a meteor in the yer 2058,that contained IMMENSE energy patterns.There were other species in the meteor that seemed intelligent.They clled these,"Exomorphs".Some trained these species,and used their powers for good,others attempted to use them for diabolical purposes...You are trying to become the strongest Exomorph triner there is,you are trying to either become the world's heroic leader,or trying to control it with darkness and fear.
