This is an RPG where their is a castle in the kingdom of Donchester. Everyone in the kingdom was, originally, friendly and peace loving with their king. One day the king died. Their was, of course, a ceremony of the death, but people began to panic. this was simply because they king had no sons or daughters because he died of early age. In the old days, if this happened, the king title was usually given to the closest of the king's general. This kingdom, however, has many generals, all of which wanted the king's throne and the castle. The king told his closest general, Ivory, he was king. however no one liked him, so the kingdom broke out in war.
You are assuming the position of one of the kings generals, or a rising one from military ranks. you want to be the king, and its castle. But Ivory has closely gaurded the castle, and you will need lots of strength to defeat him and take the castle.
Character Sheet:
Name: Visual Description: Flag visual: (will be important if you take the castle, just describe what it looks like) age: (between 20 and 50) army: (leave blank at the moment, this will become important quickly) Status: able to raid castle, not controlling it Money: 0 (obtained from raiding)
IN THIS GAME THEIR WILL BE PVP. thats a no-brainer. EVERYONE will be trying to take the castle. You will start off with your choice of a unit, which you will use to raid the castle. raiding the castle is what this game is about. The person who controls the castle will have options on upgrading it and all of its defenses. these stats will be shown below. (currently the controller of the castle is ivory, who is AI controlled). I will descide the outcomes of ALL raids, you must say "im raiding the castle" when you do then i will calculate the outcome (which may take some time).
1ST UNIT OPTIONS:
light infantry lvl 1: (0/10 XP) power: 5, melee speed: 10 Cost: 50 gold quicker then most units, light infantry gets the job done. melee, not to powerful, but levels up quickly
Heavy infantry lvl 1: (0/15 XP) power: 10, melee speed: 5 cost: 100 gold powerful, slow, and hard to level up, these guys will be more of a later-in-game option (although they can be your 1st choice). but, they will crush most resistance at a small cost
Archers lvl 1: (0/10 XP) power: 5, ranged Speed: 15 cost: 75 gold they are your immediate ranged option, cheap, and easy to use with a little strategy. they are no your best choice 1st thing, but will be big later on.
The above are your only options for starting. the blelow are some higher tier units.
Catapult lvl 1: (0/50 XP) power: 50, ranged Speed: stationary cost: 500 gold these bad boys will destroy anything unit, and take large portions of the castle walls or defenses before most fighting begins. these are hard to level up, but are the powerhouse of the competition
cannons lvl 1: (0/100 XP power: 75, ranged speed: 5 cost: 750 gold these guys are an easy substitute for catapults, and can be moved. they are focused more on smashing units then they catapult, which is used for smashing castle defenses. hard to level up, yet very rewarding.
Brutes lvl 1: (0/30 XP) power: 15, melee speed: 10 cost: 150 gold these are the more heavy hitting melee. they get the job done faster then anything else, leaving the competition behind. they are meduim-ish to level up, once you have basic units they are good.
those are just a small portion of what i have in stock. more units will be available if people actually get interested into this game, and i will have to think more in-depth about it. Units will level up. this is a big part of the game, and units gain XP passively when raiding. this is not perma-death, units heal after every raid.
Castle: (level 1) current controller: ivory defenses: 1 singular cannon (75 power) units: 1 heavy infantry (10 power) total power: 85 raidable: yes. (in some situations it might not be).
You may only raid once a day. your timer will be calculated judging by your post time, not mine. note theat you may fail, but will gain XP and gold every try.
thats about it! on your 1st post just give me character sheet, 1st unit pick, and any questions you may have. You cannot raid the castle until after your 1st post, in case you have questions or did something wrong.
Name: Sir Archene Visual Description: War-hardened, tall, and thick-muscled. Flag Visual: Five stars surrounded by an arch. Regular white backdrop. Age: 28 Army: Light Inf, lvl1 (7/10 XP) total power: 5 Status: Able to raid castle, not controlling it. Money: 150
I buy one light infantry and one heavy infantry, then raid.
Name: Lord David Jones Visual Description: Tall with white skin and blue eyes. Flag visual: A golden crown with a blue saphire in the center with a red background. age: 30 army: heavy inf, lvl1 (3/15 XP) total power: 10 Status: able to raid castle, not controlling it Money: 75
I buy an archer and attack at either sunrise or sunset, whichever has the sun behind me.
Name: Sir Archene Visual Description: War-hardened, tall, and thick-muscled. Flag Visual: Five stars surrounded by an arch. Regular white backdrop. Age: 28 Army: Light Inf, lvl2 (0/15 XP), Light inf, lvl1 (3/10 XP), heavy inf, lvl1 (3/15 XP) total power: 25 Status: controlling castle Money: 50 CP: 0
You raid again! your luck roll this time is 9! with an extremely bigger army (even though it isnt big yet) you march your troops to the battlefield. you put your heavy infantry in front of your two light infantry, then charge. the cannon attacks the heavies, and you send one light infantry to assist the heavy while the other charges the castle. your units destroy the heavy infantry, and they all go for the castle. when you reach the throne room, ivory surrenders. "there is no way you are coming back..." you say, then you decapitate ivory and claim the castle. the 5 star flag flies! be aware that you will not gain gold/money while you control the castle, and you will not gain XP either.
loot: both light infantry gain 3 XP, and the one levels up! it gains a 5 power bonus for that. heavy infantry gains 3 XP as well. you gain 50 gold! you gain the castle! (trollface)
now that you have gained the castle, there are a few things you can do with it, although you wont be able to now. the first bonus of controlling the castle is you can now upgrade it! the list of available purchases will be below. you get to keep the cannon, and your units will now become your defense. another thing is that every day, you will gain a castle point! this will go to anyone who controls the castle. this is passive, and there is no maximum castle point number. castle points will be abbreviated with CP. you can spend them as premium tokens almost, and i will have more information on this later.
Castle: (level 1) current controller: rychus (sir archene) defenses: 1 cannon (75 power) units: 1 heavy infantry (10 power), 2 light infantry, one level 1 one level 2 (15 power) total power: 100 raidable: yes.
here is the list of things you can upgrade:
cannons: cost: 300 gold power bonus: 75 these babies are your best bet at castle defense in the long term. adding 1 will surely increase your defense. add more and it gets better and better.
archer towers: cost: 200 gold power bonus: 25 adding an archer tower adds just that: a tower with archers. they rain down arrows as units advance, giving more defense widespread.
mage towers: cost: 400 gold power bonus: 100 these guys are the real deal. spell casting mages instantly create a powerful arsenal to your castle's defenses and they will not let you down
add a moat: cost: 10 CP power bonus: N/A adding a moat gives the passive ability of this: whenever an army beats you in a raid, they must wait a day in real time before they actually take you over. its like a 1-day bonus, generating 1 extra CP in the long run.
more options will be available soon. archer and mage towers DO NOT double as units.
Name: Lord David Jones Visual Description: Tall with white skin and blue eyes. Flag visual: A golden crown with a blue saphire in the center with a red background. age: 30 army: heavy inf, lvl1 (8/15 XP) archer lvl1 (5/10 XP) total power: 15 Status: 5:00 recharge at the moment, not controlling castle Money: 125
You raid! your luck roll is a nice 17! you attack at sunset, when the sun is derectly behind you. your heavy infantry and archer unit line up, ready for anything. you charge the castle, but rychus is already ready for the attack. he sends his 3 units and arms his cannon, blowing your archer line down. your heavy infantry unit tries, but is no match for for the 3 units rychus controls once he flanks you. you retreat, and think up another plan.
loot: heavy infantry gains 5 XP! archers gain 5 XP! yoiu gain 100 gold!
Event: as you are sitting in your camp healing from the battle, a man in stunning armor rides up to you on an armored horse. he says, "Hello! i am commander Tidal Vermonsur of morkran, leader of a stunning calvary unit. at least i was, until they mutinied me and abandoned me. i am in need of an army to command, and i believe yours is available. so what do you say, my friend?" you can either except this calvary commander, or not. the choice is yours. if you accept, i will tell you what he does for your army. if not, i can skip it.
*I think the person in charge of the castle should be able to do more. Maybe a way to convert castle points into experience through training, or converting castle points into cash. Right now, Rychus can pretty much do nothing but wait.*
I buy another archer unit. I strike again at sunset. I spread my units out around the castle with two archers with every heavy unit soldier. The heavy units charge the castle while the archers provide support, taking out soldiers.
Name: Lord David Jones Visual Description: Tall with white skin and blue eyes. Flag visual: A golden crown with a blue saphire in the center with a red background. age: 30 army: heavy inf, lvl1 (8/15 XP), archer lvl1 (3/10 XP), archer lvl1, (3/10 XP) total power: 20 Status: raid timer is 23 hours. not controlling castle Money: 25
your idea is moving. in fact, I'm going to use this idea. but 1st I want to point out that you didn't respond to your event, which I must say is very important. so your now raiding, but not at the power level you could be.
You raid! Your luck roll is 13! you position your units like you want. for every heavy unit, there are 2 archers standing beside them to protect in quick situations. you surround the castle accordingly, and rychus sends his units to attack you. the cannon is rendered useless to your spread out maneuver, firing only small amounts of units into oblivion at a time. however, the heavy unit rychus controls spreads and the light infantry units take the archers. you lose at small margins, but you realize that you never answered that event, which could have turned the battle...
loot: heavy inf. gains 5 XP! archers gain 3 XP! you gain 75 gold!
respond to that event on the last page!
so here is the updated list of what CP does for you: the gold ratio is 1:50, so trading 1 CP gets you 50 gold. this is redeemable anytime. the XP ratio is 1:3. 1 CP gives 1 unit 3 XP, which you can choose. this is also redeemable anytime. commanders also gain 3 XP with 1 CP.
on a last note, invite your friends interested in the forums to join this game! 10 people starts leaderboards, and 15 will start alliances! (like all games, this will generally be more fun with more people anyway).

I thought that was for rychus. I don't really know why i thought that in hindsight though. And I think 10 people may be too high to hope for participation. I'd consider you lucky if you got five, really. I'll ask people to join though.

very well then. and, without further ado, this is the entire unit list:
1ST UNIT OPTIONS:
light infantry lvl 1: (0/10 XP) power: 5, melee speed: 10 Cost: 50 gold quicker then most units, light infantry gets the job done. melee, not to powerful, but levels up quickly

Brutes lvl 1: (0/30 XP) power: 15, melee speed: 10 cost: 150 gold these are the more heavy hitting melee. they get the job done faster then anything else, leaving the competition behind. they are meduim-ish to level up, once you have basic units they are good.
beast riders lvl 1 (0/30 XP) power: 20, melee, mounted, (ability ranged) speed: 20 cost: 300 these guys are the best: power of brutes, speed of calvary. the beasts are another thing, and are usually tigers, but can be other (carnivorous) animals. ability: rain of spears the beast riders use long spears to stab, but this ability allows them to throw their spears like javelins and then take out daggers to use. genius.
calvary lvl 1 (0/20 XP) power: 15, melee, mounted speed: 20 cost: 200 armored men riding armored horses. simple enough, yet they are really tactical genious. ability: stampede this ability is all in the formation: the horses line up and then charge long distance, simply stomping anything that stands below.
mages lvl 1 (0/30 XP): power: 35, ranged speed: 15 cost: 300 mages. they are spell casting Rambo's, and will get you out of anything. just line them behind infantry and watch the carnage. ability: rise of corpses with this ability, the mages summon 10 undead units of heavy infantry to fight along side them. its a good defensive strategy, or possibly anything else.
dragon tamers lvl1 (0/100 XP) power: 200, melee, ranged, flying speed: 100 cost: 2000 they are dragons. dragons that are tamed, however, and have riders that know what they are doing. one of these will almost guarantee success, but you could find out for yourself. ability: rain of pain. with this ability, the dragon goes into a raged state, and begins attack at maximum capacity. ultimate doom.
war elephants lvl 1 (0/75 XP): power: 150, melee, ranged, trample speed: 10 cost: 1500 cant afford dragons, or eager to get powerful? maybe you actually want elephants? it doesn't matter. war elephants are not nice, lets just say that. they are mounted by archers, therefore you are having a fortified mobile fortress on 4 legs. ability: rain of arrows. the archers use synchronized tactics to fire there arrows all at once. small chance of sun blockage.
there will be more eventually, but for awhile at least this is the full list.
Name: Lord David Jones Visual Description: Tall with white skin and blue eyes. Flag visual: A golden crown with a blue saphire in the center with a red background. age: 30 army: heavy inf, lvl1 (8/15 XP), archer lvl1 (3/10 XP), archer lvl1, (3/10 XP) total power: 20 Status: raid timer is 23 hours. not controlling castle Money: 75
I take the cavarly commander up on his offer, and put him in charge of organising my units.
Name: Lord David Jones Visual Description: Tall with white skin and blue eyes. Flag visual: A golden crown with a blue saphire in the center with a red background. age: 30 army: heavy inf, lvl1 (12/15 XP), archer lvl1 (7/10 XP), archer lvl1, (7/10 XP) total power: 45 Status: raid timer is 23 hours. not controlling castle Money: 125 CP: 0 commander: Tidal Vermonsur (power: 25, clavary)
actually, commanders do more then that. in this case, he is calvary, and since you own none you get no bonus from that. however calvary commanders have a rallying ability, meaning your units will fight until their last breath and will not flee. also, he gives 25 bonus power, and is a rather unstoppable fighting force.
You raid! your luck roll is 11! your new clavary commander positions your troops in the old ways he used to do it. your heavy inf surrounds the castle thinly, and archers back each man up. the cannons, once again, are rendered useless. tidal charges rychus's one heavy inf unit, and keeps them busy. the other rush your heavy inf unit, and his light infs take your archers. in the end, its a close fight, but you lose.
loot: archers gain 4 XP! heavy inf gains 4 XP! you gain 75 gold!
