OK, D-Day RPG was not a success, and did not even get to 3/5 players before it practically went out of business. It was because the character sheet was too simple. Fortunately, I have learned from my mistake and plan to make a second, more complicated version. You can also choose what team you are on! Here is the character sheet:
1) The player has 30 points to assign among his last 9 attributes. One morale point counts as 5, and one HP point counts as 3. He/she can choose 2 perks of his choice.
2) You die when you run out of health and you surrender when you run out of morale.
3) To advance past level 1, a player must go up 10 XP. To advance past level 2, a player must go up 20 XP. 30 XP for 3, and so on.
4) When a level goes up, the player may split 5 points among his attributes.
5) One kill is 5 XP. XP will also be rewarded according to other things, such as surviving an ambush.
Here is a list of perks and their effects:
Hard to Break Increases morale by 5 points.
Marksman: Increases accuracy by 3 points.
Rapid Runner: Increases agility by 3 points.
Heavy Duty: Increases armor by 3 points.
Quick Draw: Increases dexterity by 3 points.
Unstoppable: Increases endurance by 3 points.
Lucky Charm: Increases luck by 3 points.
Ninja: Increases stealth by 3 points.
Maximum of 5 players. After 3 days, the game will start regardless of player count.
c. kind of a mixture of a and b, i pack my things, but slowly retreat watching the rock where the nazis disappeared behind, waiting to fire at moments notice.
You slowly retreat, but as you are retreating the enemy suddenly pops out from behind the rock! Luckily, you were prepared, and you shoot him in the head. (+6 XP, including 1 XP headshot bonus)
There are now only 2 left standing and 1 injured. You hear quiet German whispering and footsteps, which shows that the demoralized enemy is retreating. (+4 Morale) What now?
You level up to Level 3! Divide 5 points among your attributes as necessary.
that should do it. when i level up my morale, does it go to max, or stay at 16 and the max morale level is raised? seems like I'm the only one still active on this thread.
You have scouted the area and all is clear. But when you return to base camp, you find the whole thing destroyed! Also, Pvt. Justin has died and Pvt. Shane is having trouble breathing. (-7 Morale) What do you do?
You walk near the edge of the clearing, and you step to the edge of it. Something trips you! A grenade flies near you and blows the tree behind you over. What do you do?
