Okay, so, apparently TRF wants to lose the old thread until such time as Dibs sees fit to return. So, as per his request, I have made a new thread. I, of course, don't see exactly why this is necessary, but I suppose it won't hurt anything to accommodate Turf. So, I guess this will just be a continuation of the prior thread with the old characters and we'll pick up where Dibs left off. I suggested that Noob DM this one, but being that he doesn't have any of the source material beyond what's on the internet, he declined. That being the case, if there are no objections, I guess I will be DMing this one. I won't have access to my books myself for another week or two, so if it's okay, I guess I'll be using a homemade campaign. And as far as the campaign goes, expect to see a lot of stuff that's not exactly D&D canon, because, as I said, I don't have my sourcebooks right now. Unless, of course, someone else wants to DM, in which case, I'd be more than happy to step aside. Unfortunately, I do not think that this game will be accepting any more players. This thread is here for the sole purpose of reducing clutter in the other. It will actually be a lot easier - it was getting to be a pain, navigating that other one with all the pages it had(we were almost at 4,000!). To start off, I'm going to request that we all post our sheets(I'll track mine down later) and if there is anyone who would like to DM or has any requests to that effect or which concern the next campaign, speak now or forever hold your peace. Cheers.
Resurrection and true resurrection can affect undead creatures. These spells turn undead creatures back into the living creatures they were before becoming undead.
Well I guess I was wrong seeing as I am usually an arcane chaster and never reach that high. But didn't Dragon's character utterly destroy her.
"You would be surprised," Rafel says with a smile.
I'll take it, he's always wanted to have a stare down with a boulder.
If you want it, but it might be better in the hands of the cleric/wizard.
It said in the monster manual that vampires get revived as vampires, since they don't die they get utterly destroyed so either way it will have no effect on her, you need like a wish or miracle spell to fix her.
That's not what it says in the module, and the module takes precedent over the MM. Also, jsyk, the reason Sharill did not take Gaseous Form is because she's an Eastern Vampire, and they can't do that. She just faded from sight into invisibility.

I thought all vampires were the same here.
"You would be surprised," Rafel says with a smile.
I guess your right, and I always wanted to stare down a boulder. No wait I want to stare down the Boulder."
Nope, and it's in the Monster Manual too. Eastern Vampires, buddy.

"Do you even know how to use it?" Rafel asks with a sigh.
He smiles. "I believe that the villagers would like that very much. We should make sure she understands that the murders she committed weren't her fault if she mentions them."
"I agree," Rafel tells you, smiling. "What do you think, monk?"
I don't think they can be revived after being utterly destroyed.
You're wrong once more, Monsieur Dibs. Straight from the PH spell description...
The condition of the remains is not a factor. So long as some small portion of the creature's body still exists, it can be resurrected, but the portion receiving the spell must have been part of the creature's body at the time of death.
His eyes get all shifty and he looks to his left, "maybe"
Rafel sighs. "In that case, can I have the scroll please?"
"Well they say time is the eternal river and I suggest we not swim upstream."
"...I take that as a yes. We're resurrecting her. Tell the townspeople." He pulls the stake out of her body with difficulty and unfurls the Scroll of Resurrection.

(The remains of a creature hit by a disintegrate spell count as a small portion of its body.)
Any creature struck by the ray takes 2d6 points of damage per caster level (to a maximum of 40d6). Any creature reduced to 0 or fewer hit points by this spell is entirely disintegrated, leaving behind only a trace of fine dust.

They do an insta wake up when the stake is removed.

I know that's one of my favorite spells. I thought nothing was left from the vampire in the sun.

"Yes that's a yes, I'll go tell them." Hyper I've looked through 9 books, 5 source books and 4 MM and can't find an eastern vampire.

I already told you man, this is an Eastern Vampire. It's not the same as a normal vampire. Check the MM. She won't wake up for 12 hours.

We still have a small pile of ashes, apparently. That's enough.

*facepalm* You have to look under vampire, you dol dae ga ri, not eastern vampire. It's a subtype. I assure you it exists. At the very least, it exists in the black MM with the beholder on the cover(the one I own). It's also in the module.
