Galaxy on fire, is an space RPG game.

there is a story, but the story depends on what you do in the game, and the choices you make.

that is why there is no story right now, until you make this decision:

which class do you choose:

Human

Alien

Independent

Robot

now all of these will be explained here:

Human - As a human, you will be a part of the alliance of worlds controlled by the humans, and their allies. you will be of the human species.

---Pros and cons of joining:
Pros:
-In an alliance, so people can help you out.
-Outposts in secured systems so that if you die, search and rescue will recover you and send you to the nearest outpost or base.
-Can join squads, with other players, and with players made by me.
-Receive regular amount of starting resources, no more, no less.
Cons:
-Have a shoot-on-sight enemy, which are the aliens.
-Start off with a small, old, and rusty ship

Alien - As an alien, you will be part of the alliance of worlds that have joined the Alien alliance treaty and all the worlds controlled by the aliens.

Cons:
-Have a soot-on-sight enemy, which are the humans
-Start off with a small, old, battered ship.

Independent - As an independent, you will have to choose what species you will be (Human or alien), and you will be ON YOUR OWN.

---Pros and cons of joining:
Pros:
-Get a lot more starting resources than other classes.
-Start with a relatively repaired ship, none of that old rusty and battered stuff.
-No shoot-on-sight enemies to start with, so most people are neutral
-Can start a wing, as long as there are enough people to start it.
-Can found an alliance, as long as it has 2 worlds under it.
-You have your own home world!
Cons:
-Not in an alliance from the start, so danger of getting shot at is higher than if you were in an alliance.
-No outposts from the start, so search and rescue revive you at your home world, or at an alliance member's home world.

Robot - As a robot, you will be under the alliance of worlds that the Robots control. You will be a Robot.

---Pros and cons of joining:
Pros:
-Are in an alliance, so you can be helped out.
-Can join squads, with other players, and with players made by me.
-Receive slightly more than the regular amount of starting resources.
-with the right programming and engineering, robots can do almost anything.
-are way more resistant to damage than other classes.(better armor on ship)
Cons:
-No outposts from the start, so search and rescue revive you at your home world, or at any other world of the alliances control.

Ship classes: ship classes are the names of the ships, and their upgrades. for example:

Viper MK 1
is the starting ship for a human campaign, but repaired.

Viper MK 1.5
is the upgraded version.

Squads

What's a squad?

a squad is a smaller version of an alliance, in which a group of ships would work together to demolish a bigger ship, or do something together.

how do you form a squad?

just say so. one at a time, please. you can only be in one squad at a time.

you can invite other players to join, too.

Squad ranks: (highest on the top)
***general
leader
admin
member

What's the difference?

the higher, the more privileged.

Omni, i won't be able to get to you today. sorry.

You explore the system. your system is small, and contains a sun, a rocky planet, then an asteroid field, then your planet, then a gap, then a gas giant, then 2 icy planets (in that order). which do you explore?

You find that this gap is large, and with nothing in it besides what seems like a ship-sized planetoid. you go over to it and you see it's a derelict ship. you pick up whatever it was carrying and then examine it:

it's a medium sized ship. it seems like it has been a long time since it went down, probably in a fight. there are floating debris everywhere in this mysterious gap. that's all that you can examine with your eyes. go to the shop and get the proper scanners to get more detailed info.

Alright, cool! I got some stuff. Well now I will head back to my planet, and hire 5 mechanics to repair all the turrets.

How much will that cost? And will it be i have to pay them every ____ posts, or is it one-time use, or do I get them forever?

the mechanic can fix all of them, and you only need 1.

you go back to the city, into a small shop, hire a mechanic and he tells you this:

it'll cost ya 2225, for the 4 turrets.

well, it's one use only, but he pays for everything he fixes.

Options:
Pay [-2225]
Leave
Go to the city
Exit the planet

Now, sheppio, this is for you, because i feel like you are missing out. it tells you some basics.

Storyline: Your father is a very rich man. But unfortunately, he isn't very well known. He wanted to give you a ship after your new earned license, so he had found his first ship as a hand-me-down. An old worn Interceptor, MK I. he also gave you 50,000 credits. the Interceptor had one weapon. a small worn machine gun. but at least the pile of junk worked. As an addition, your father has given you 1 out of the 15 worlds he controls. your new home world's name is Celios. you thank him for the money, and the world, and head off, to your new adventure. You are at your home world now. The planet is habitable and is earth-like, with nice mountains, desserts, and forests. There are minimum defenses, and about 1,000,000 people living there. the defenses are old, automated ion cannons which had grown old years ago, and much of them are now inactive.

--your father had left a note in the ship:

hey shepp, how's it going? i hope you like the new world i gave you. Here's a tip: Protect it well. You need to go down to the planet to be able to talk with people, and do things on the planet. I'll help you out. Go down to the planet now, and fix those defenses. you can hire a mechanic from the big cities of your planet, there are a lot. once paid, they will fix the turrets. while you are on the planet, you might want to set up a tax deal with the planet: the more people, the more credits you get. be careful though, if too much taxes are enforced, your people will get angry.

[NEW PRIMARY QUEST!]

remember, this is just like an introduction.

After hired, I go into the city with some money to upgrade my ship, buy new weapons, etc.

What does that mean, and how can I increase it?

You really cant do that. it's not a percentage, because let's say everyone on your planet buys something. there's a million people on the planet.

it's more of a number tax.

3,000 per 3 days is good.

it will automatically rise as the population rises.

i'm going to assume that's what you're going to say.

on to the shop!

you dont. it's an error. p,ease understand these things will happen.
----------UPDATE!----------
Buildings: you can renovate this but it can help your planet evolve. more tech level = better buildings.

Tech level: a new renovation, tech levels are determined by what type of technology/enhancements the current selected station/planet/base/ect. has. Obviously the better tech level the better tech! Of course they cost a lot. not just credits, and other things too. like must have these buildings. max level: 10. They are explained here.

Tech level 1: minor housing buildings, and a few business buildings (such as shops)

Tech level 2: slightly bigger and better housing, better shops, and a new small Police station (makes tax maximum a little higher as people are willing to pay more because they're safe...sorta.)

Tech level 3: bigger housing, transportation factory set up to build transport (gives you money per day for hover car purchases). A small fuel station(you can now fuel at your home base once you get to this!) a slightly better police patrol force.

Tech level 4: unique housing that is sure to make your tenants happy! sorta-guaranteed! police station now has fast and easy transports, so better enforcing the law. new and better fuel station! can refuel for less! transportation factory completely replaced by robots and industrial waste halted! shops are now at their best! new hangar and docking station for foreign ships!

Tech level 5: The best housing available today! police station now has a swat team that is ready for anything! Hangar for foreign ships made bigger! factory expanding! fuel station integrated into hangar! now costs less! a small space station for research only! a small factory for robotics and robotic stuff!

that is all for now, i'll tell you the rest later.
Alright, i want to see sensors which will allow my to scan movement from 500 miles away, and I want a radio to allow me to communicate with other ships, should I see them. Also, I want a radio that can talk to my home world.

so you want a comms system, and an enhanced sensor system?

ok...

he types on his calulator...

that'll be 110,000 redits, please.

65,000 for the scanner and 45,000 for comms network.

there would also have to be a comms satellite or tower on your planet, which adds another 50,000 credits.
