I won't lie, I like it better like this. The face was a little off and I got rid of the ear point and I think it looks a lot smoother and more organic now

Those are some pretty rad shoes though, and the bird looks pretty. Although I can't help but notice that the feet of the bird had gotten smudged when you added the background.

Thanks, the bird was just a really quick drawing to practice some techniques, I wasn't really worried about the feet or the branch and I kind of rushed them. It took me maybe 2 hours compared to my finished drawings that tend to take 20+hours. I probably should have put a little more care into the feet and branch though

I actually considered starting a pea"fowl" last night, but I think I'm going to wait until I've finished my red cardinal oil painting and it's the weekend for me because Monday-Thursday I have classes and I always have a ton of homework. I do plan on doing one eventually, though. I intend to draw and paint as many birds as I can until I get burnt out on them, then I am moving on to wolves and dogs, and then deer/elk, etc.
