DISCLAIMER: This is an rpg that is quite complicated and involves a lot of text. Please do not join if that is not your thing. On the other hand, do join if you love creative and deeply descriptive writing.

I once had an evolution Rpg that was doing really well. It had lot's of players and everything was going great, but then I just quit it. I can't forgive myself for doing that, the players seemed to be having fun and I just stopped. I can't look too good after saying that, but I will try once more. Here is the new game, it is almost exactly the same but I have made many tweaks to make it more bearable, both for the player and me. Some things I have simplified to make it easier for me to keep, and some things made more complicated for the enjoyment of the player. Some things may have even been straightly copied from the previous one. This time I wont quit. And If I do, then I will stab myself with a pickle.

It is much recommended that you see the original one here, since it explains the game more in depth.

(We'll see if I did that linking thing right, most likely not.. In case it doesn't work, the link is also at the bottom of this post.)

Prologue

"The NeoZero - 027 project was a complete failure. Not only did the core overheat and cause extinction to all of the animals, but it also imploded and took 26 other planets from the Neon-1000 Star system with it. Only 3 planets remain, and 028 is the one that shows the most potential to be The Last Opportunity Of The Era Of New Species. We are about to send the specimen... Neon Hope this works..."

That is all you remember before feeling huge amounts of G-forces and a splash. Of course you didn't understand any of it, but it's nice to have a feeling of past in your primitive brain. You seem to be floating in an empty space, filled with nothingness. Until you open your eyes.

The Species Sheet (A mix of things that affects your whole species and then only one individual: You.)

Species: (Your species' name)
Type: (Cold or Warm, Peaceful or Hunter, ect, anything that describes your species the best.)
Food: (Herbi-carni-omni-vore. This gets decided by what you start eating, so leave this blank for now.)
Weapons&Armor: 2 Tiny fangs, no armor
Evo-Stage: Cell
-----
HP: 10/10
Evo-Lvl: 0.1
Evo-Xp: 0/5
Status: Fine, Confused
-----
Evo-Points: 0
Body: Cell - Tiny (Decide color please)
Head: Cell - Tiny (Decide color please)
Mouth: 2 Tiny Fangs
Limbs: Fins - Tiny
Back: Nothing
Tail: Fin - Tiny
Details: Nothing
-----
Skills: (These get affected by different body parts. The system is different than before, so I wont put the exact functions here. You can also earn skill points from random tasks in the game.)
Vitality: 1 (Each point here grants you 2 extra hp)
Offense: 1 (The Offensive battle method. The more points the more offensive.)
Defense: 1 (The Defensive battle method. The more points the more defensive.)
Agility: 1 (How fast you move and react to things.)
Intelligence: 1 (You need this for everything. You can't evolve much if you don't have intelligence, but luckily you get it from everyday tasks that you perform.)
-----
Abilities: (These are special abilities that you can gain and lose when evolving body parts, or just from other goals you achieve.)
Swim, Bite, Water-Breath

--------------------------------------

Species Score (SS)

Species Score is what ranks you in the TSR (Top Species Ranking). The System goes like this:

Each:-

Skill Point = 1 Point
XP Point = 0.5 Point
Lvl = 10 Points

Example:

lvl 3 = 30P
xp 13/15 = 6.5P
-----
Vitality: 3
Offense: 5
Defense: 2
Speed: 4
Intelligence: 6

= 30 + 6.5 + 20 = 56.5 In total

Each XP point gives only half a point because otherwise when you got a level, the level would give you 10 points but if you had let's say 15 xp and each xp gave 1 point, you would lose more points than you got. This will still be a problem later in the game, but maybe I will change the scoring system when it gets to that.

And many other EVO rpg's here at AG Forums.

--------------------------------------

That should be all. I know it's long but I spent about 2 weeks trying to come up with things that would make it better and simpler, even though I think it just got more complicated. Anyway, it's 1 AM here now, so I'm gonna leave this overnight so people can join if they wish. It would be a downer if no one joined, I spent a lot of time on this. But when wouldn't it be sad if no one joined your game..?

Time to step it up. Two of us can do this. We try to sneak up on the one fish, and attack its sides.

Now undisturbed, I go and try out that new meat, all the while adjusting to my new body. The loss of that friendly cell is saddening, but that's just life on a weird planet .

I think I got this right. You did become somewhat confusing near the end of the first paragraph, though.

I have a terrible hangover but I'll continue this in a bit. TSR SS will be calculated and all that stuff, but for now I'll only do the side notes:

@Zyba

I'm here again with another "Zyberian" species, so anyways...

-Oh yeah you were on the original one too, good to see you again but first of all I hope you realize that we are already full, and the hold list is also cramped. I can put you on the hold list but there is no saying if you'll actually get to play this.
Second of all, I don't much appreciate it that you change the game mechanic on the racial types slot on your own, because I need those types to give me ideas on how to make your story. Also, get rid of the info stuff that are inside the ( ) markers, you don't need them in the Species Sheet once you know what they do. Did you see anyone else include that stuff in there? No. So if you don't mind, clean your species sheet up a bit.

@p1a2r3i4s5:

I think I got this right. You did become somewhat confusing near the end of the first paragraph, though.

-Yes, sorry about that, it's hard to keep it simple when it's obviously complicated. But you did it exactly right, at least so far I'm not seeing any mistakes.

@Legion:

(Cool, man. If it helps, I'm considering some sort of hard bugs. Don't know if I want them to live in water or land, though.)

-Right, well the point of the game is to evolve as much as you can and to get to the top of the TSR board if possible, so to achieve that it is preferred to live on the land, and it helps to have arms, and also learning to communicate and stuff is pretty important. Of course it's not limited to those things, but thinking that even if you are the master of the sea, there would still be others on the land.

I guess that's all then, I'll continue the game once I wake up. (lulz.)

Here's the Hold list:

You have been given a new ability for evolving: Dash

Weird feelings go through your body. Mysterious lights appear around you, and after just a few seconds you don't remember any of it. But when you look at your body, instead of 2 fins you have 4 now. Your head also feels different, but you can't tell for sure what happened.
Now that you have your new body, what do you do? The black cells body is floating away from you, the Bone-Anglers corpse is still in front of you, and the burgundy cell starts eating it. You also notice that the burgundy cell isn't in fact a cell anymore, it has a more fish like scaly body and an Angling lure on it's head, like the Bone-Angler did.

You munch the plankton and the other cell stops moving. It looks angrily at you for a second, and then continues to move at another direction. So you eat it too, with only a little competition from the other cell. Soon another dark gray cell comes to eat the remains of the red cell.

You sneak up on the fish. Only when you are really close to it, you realize it is 2 times your size, but that doesn't stop you. You tactically split on each side of the fish and start attacking it, which catches the fish completely off-guard and it is confused for a second. After that it starts biting your ally, even though it mostly keeps away from the fish's mouth. It also lands a hit on you with it's rear fin, but it doesn't really hurt. The fish soon stops moving, and it's corpse very slowly floats with the current while you start feasting on it. Victory!

It takes you a while to realize that the lure only works in darker places, so you swim a little deeper where the water is darker. Over here you start moving the lure around slowly, and a small cell soon sees it and starts coming your way. When it's close enough, you kill it in one easy bite. After a while, a bigger fish targets it, and starts swimming your way. It's about two times your size, and looks pretty mean. What do you do?

You have been granted a new ability for evolving. By telling the others to help you with the fight, you have a small tending to leadership in your blood.

You change shape unusually quickly, and uncertain of what to think of it you go eat the corpse of the Angler. The scaly skin of it is hard and thick, but the meat is soft and tasty. While eating it, you also learn a little bit about the fish, and notice that the same kind of Angling lure that this fish had, is also now on your head. Strange. The turquoise cell has changed too, into a more fish like creature. It's head is different, and it has more fins that it had before. Strange.

TSR SS UPDATED!

-------------------------------------------------

-Some abilities have numbers after them, which means the rank of that ability, and the bigger the rank, the better the ability. For instance, the ability Communication 1 is basically primitive sign language and head motions, while a bigger communication rank can mean actual speaking in languages. This should be fairly obvious, but I just thought I'd point it out.

-Xalinian, Karon, Dassovian and Evoreptivores are extremely close to each other on the TSR, if you plan your actions well you might get a change on your position.

(Huh, never pictured you old enough to be drinking. I guess that explains the writing style, lol. Anyway, thanks. I guess I'll go for a large land-bug. And who says they can't have arms? And thanks again.)

I let my ally have most of the fish, since his health is lower. I try to communicate to my ally that we should stay higher up from now on by looking at him, then up to the surface and flapping my "lips" quickly so to say. I then go up a bit higher and examine my surroundings.

I make no attempt to avoid this completely unnecessary conversation that we are sinking into at the very moment..
The drinking age is 18, not that many people here would obey that though.
And yes I'm glad to see I fixed that page thingy and also thank you for your kind words "Paris" (I just checked out your page and now finally understand your name). I keep the game organized but it comes with a cost, and that cost being slow replies, the game goes pretty slowly. Also, every time I make a game related post I like to wait a little while until I make another one, even if - like in this case three people have already entered their reply, I'm just not doing it yet. I could have spent the time I was making this message on continuing the game, but I'm just lazy like that x3.

And now, if you excuse me, I will watch a 40 minute video and enjoy late breakfast. (Even though It's 7:00 Pm here and I woke up hours ago.)

(Seriously you guys would be lvl 50 already if I spend all this time continuing the game..)
