Colonial EUROPE
The year is 1 AD. This is a game where every country starts with a small piece of territory, and must expand. It's non-historical, and some countries may not have existed. Once Europe is fully colonized, history will take its course. Wars, alliances, anything really. Only 2 people are allowed to play.

Governments
Absolute Monarchy: The government everyone starts with.

Imperial Monarchy or Constitutional Monarchy: Imperial Monarchy changes your name into -Name- Empire and keeps your monarchs in power. Constitutional Monarchy will limit the monarch's power.

Republic or Dictatorship: Can only be reformed from Constitutional Monarchy. Republic makes you a free state but still limits many things. Dictatorship is an absolute power government.

Democracy: Democracy is a free state in which very few things are limited.

Combat
The combat in this game is simple. Roll the dice, count in the modifiers, and calculate the result.

Weather:
-2 for Light Snow, -5 for Snow, -10 for Blizzard
-1 for Light Rain and Rain, -5 for Storm
-3 for Heatwave, -10 for Deadly Heatwave

Landscape:
-1 when attacking in hills
-1 when attacking in dense forests/vegetation
-1 when attacking over a river
-4 when attacking in mountains

+1 when defending in hills
+1 when defending in dense forests/vegetation
+1 when defending over a river
+4 when defending from a mountain

Stats:
Attack adds to a dice roll. For example, if someone rolls a 6 and they have an attack stat of 2 their roll will turn into 8.
Defense lessens attack from a dice roll. For example, if someone rolls a 6 and the defender a defense bonus of 2, the enemy dice roll will turn in to 4.

Generals and Admirals:
Generals and Admirals can add attack, defense or both to your dice rolls and armies, depending on how much money you will spend for one and how naturally talented they are.

Armies:
Armies use a number based on how much soldiers they contain. For example, an army of 5,000 will be 5 on a dice or in a battle.

I would like to send out an alliance with all catholic nations. Also, I ask Paris to attempt to unify France.

Finally, I want to begin to improve my economy. I send out scouts to search for any valuable natural resources in Ireland (metals, valuable timber, spices, etc.) They will also map out the region extensively, noting what positions are best for military use (natural defenses, can't be seen from te ocean). Lastly, these scouts also are trying to negotiate peace talks with the tribal people in the hills.

No one seems to be interested in alliances right now, except for Castille. Paris will try to unify France once they colonize and conquer enough lands. The scouts will report back soon. An event comes to your attention.

"English Travelers"

"Numerous English travelers are flocking to our new colony, however, since they aren't an accepted culture here, many of them are being discriminated by the population. This gives us a negative image but those foul English are probably plotting something. What shall we do?"

A.) Stop discrimination! Let them settle. (English becomes an accepted culture)

B.) Those foul English will get out of our country right now! (English population will revolt, lose 1 stability, relation with England drop by 20)

C.) I will wait until another time. (Lose 1 stability, lose 1% legitimacy)

D.) (Your own decision, outcome unknown)

D. I let then stay for now but send a small group of spies to England to monitor the English government.

The English are somewhat glad they can stay, but they are still being discriminated. You send a small group of spies, and will return soon. The scouts have returned, and have spotted out various areas for natural resources. Much are on the south-western coast of Ireland, where it is colder and much more mountainous. (The terrain in this game is random too, but the shape of Europe is still the same.) The tribal people made peace with the scouts, but are still unsure about you.

I try to improve relations with the tribal people via treaties and trade. I also send workers toward the south to gather the natural resources in the area.

What kinds of treaties and trade goods did you have in mind? Meanwhile, the workers begin their journey south. Another important event occurs.

"Irish Spies Caught in England!"

"Our Irish spies were caught while acting as guards during a conference between the English King and his court. The English King is outraged, and had the spies publicly executed."

A.) We must apologize. (+5% Legitimacy bonus, relations with England increase by 5.)

B.) An invasion is necessary. (Relations with England decrease by 100, lose 1% legitimacy, lose 1 stability)

C.) (Your own decision, outcome unknown)

C. Apologize publicly and claim the soldiers were acting on their own. Meanwhile, secretly organize a conference with my allies regarding an invasion of England.

I would like to recruit the tribesman into the Irish military and unify Ireland. If they join we will provide weapons and shelter for them. Also, If treaties are agreed too I will ask the tribal leaders to train the army in guerrilla warfare and ambush techniques. Finally, if they agree to all the treaties and if they heavily influence the course of the war with England I will agree to give the tribal leaders positions in the government.

England accepts your apology. You secretly organize a conference with the Kings of Scotland, Paris, and Castille. Castille suggests Paris will strike first, then Castille with their navy so that they may land on the island once England is fighting Paris. Ireland will move in from the West and Scotland from the North. This will pinch them in, making them unable to retreat anywhere. Paris and Scotland seem to agree. The tribesmen are recruited into an army. (By unify do you mean implement their territory into yours?) The tribal leaders agree to train the armies.

Also, once we break their initial defenses I would like to turn it into a war of attrition. Blockade their waters and cut off supply routes to their main cities.

Sorry for the triple post

I also wanted to note my war strategy real quick. The tribal people will lead the attack backed by the rangers. They tribesmen have the okay to kill everything but do not burn down any cities. They're also allowed to keep what loot they find (motivation to fight). Finally, a force of 2,500 rangers will stay at Ireland to protect the country.

Last note, the rangers and tribal people will be using gurellia warfare and ambush tactics.

Paris launches the first attack, surprise attacking London's ports. Their ships engage into combat, and Castille moves in to help. Scotland comes in from the North, attacking London's local villages. You come in from the West, but don't get into any combat yet. Their ports are being blockaded.

Also even though Castille is landlocked, they have colonial naval bases, mostly on the East. It will probably integrated into their country next year. Explanation if you didn't understand how Castille would get to England.
