I grew up atheist for 16 years. I had always kept an open mind towards religion, but never really felt a need to believe in it. My sister started going to a Wednesday night children's program at a church. Eventually, I was dragged into a Christmas Eve service. Scoffing, I reluctantly went, assuming that this was going to be a load of crap, but when I went, I felt something. Something that I've never felt before. I felt a sense of empowerment and a sense of calling. Jesus called upon my soul, just like he did with his disciples. he wanted me to follow him. Now, my life is being lived for Christ. He died on the cross for my sins, and the sins of everyone who believes in him. He was beaten, brutalized, struck with a whip 39 times, made to carry a cross up to the stage of his death. This I believe to be true, and I can never repay him for what he has done. I still have my struggles with Christianity, but I've found this bit of information most useful. Religion is not comprehensible in the human mind, because we cannot comprehend the idea of a perfect and supreme being, a God, but we can believe it in our heart, and that's the idea of faith. Faith is, even though everything rides against me believing in Jesus, I still believe in him because I know that it's true in my heart. I invite my fellow Brothers and sisters of the LORD to talk about how Jesus has helped you in your life. No atheists and no insults please
Yes but if predestination holds true then God already knows which one of those actions you'll choose anyway so he already knows who's going to Heaven and who's going to Hell before anyone is even born.
And then we return to the book of life, which God sealed so that our souls may not be judged according to how he created us. To make the spiritual world more fair.

how is being greedy by nature (god made you that way you just said) fair to a eternity in hell?
But partydevil, greed won't shift you right into the bottmless pits of hell. God gives you the chance to repent.
i know. go to church, confess and evrything is forgiven. thats just being lazy, even for a religion. no wonder it was so populair. you don't have to care about the religion if you want. aslong you go to church and confess once a week your alright. xD
anywy my question remains, i only have to add a bit: if you did not confess yet about your greed when you die. then how is being greedy by nature (god made you that way you just said) fair to a eternity in hell?

Which would be pointlessly redundant if God already knows.
He created you. He told you what is right, and what is wrong. And you disobeyed him. You neglect to even believe he exists.
No all of this information was given to us by humans claiming it was from God. We have no reason to believe it actually was or not, we just have to accept that claim at face value.
Why would he ever want to spend eternity with you?
Because we were the ones who truly expressed free will, used our abilities to reason he supposedly gave us to use and didn't follow a religion that for all we know could be completely wrong.
Why would he ever want to spend eternity with you?
if i'm so bad in his eyes then why am i not dead yet? and i you jus said that "our souls may not be judged according to how he created us" but you also say he already judged me for how he made me (greedy)
He has never told me what is right/wrong. Now, a bunch of people who believe in something that has absolutely no proof for it whatsoever have tried to tell me and everyone else what to believe.
You neglect to even believe he exists.
If I heard a voice in my head suddenly go, "Hey, i'm God, tommorow *insert very unlikely thing* is going to happen to you, there's your proof i'm real" then i'd be MUCH more inclined to believe in him once said thing occurs that next day.

You will die after you deny your last chance to come to his glory. It won't be instant, It may be 10, 20, or even 80 years from that time, but the only reason you are still alive is to be brought back to the light.

Then I suggest marrying a virgin, going to Bethleham, and hoping the Jews are right.

Here's where you trip up. Did that actually happen? Prove it.

What light? Darkness is through the neglect of energy (light) and thus there must actually be something there. Is there? (God?) Prove it.
I just slipped it from the bottle into the bottleneck, it's really all you need to do.
Is this agreed on?
Also, I don't think you'll get anywhere when you tell people what their meaning for life is. To us, I don't think we know - my answer to the meaning of life is what you want your meaning to be for, it's that simple. You take away that principle, and that can come off as very insulting.
