The year is 2651 A.D. Humanity has been pushed too the brink of extinction by a genocidal alien race. Earth was destroyed in an assault a decade ago. Now, the survivors are living on ALG-L42 "Metal Earth". Forever searching the universe for a new planet. After years of searching, the alien species that initiated the attack has caught up with Metal Earth and wants to finish the human race. After days of fighting, Metal Earth shows signs of failing, the ten-thousand strong population of Metal Earth is forced to evacuate. You and four others rush into an escape pod and jettison to the nearest planet, ELSAR-563. The landing is terrible at best and you get knocked unconcious. When you wake up you see two largely varying landscapes: a dry barren wasteland, with no resources on the surface. On the other side, you see a lush paradise, inhabited by many alien species, some peaceful, others monstrous predators. It is almost nighttime. This is where you begin.

The area where the fight took place is suitable. It's a small clearing about 30X30 surrounded by red trees, all holding Blood Berries. After all the fighting, you realize how thirsty you are. Your Blood Berries offer little liquid but they will work for now.
Alright, using mainly my hands, I break down several saplings. I use two larger forked branches to hold up a medium cross-spar, and place more leafy branches resting against the cross-spar. Then, I find a suitable, thick branch, use a rock to grind the end to a point, and dig pits around the tent. I put a pile of laser pistols in the leanto, and use forked branches to place places to rest the havy laser rifles on in case of attack. Then, I stock-ile the armour in the leanto, and make another, using the same methods. At this point, I make a small bed of leaves for Kyle, and put rocks in a circle around a cleared-out area. I place dry, dead branches in it, and use one shot from a laser pistol to light it up into a fire. I scavenge the bodies for ammunition, and/or supplies. I get more berries, and stockpile them in the seperate leanto. Then, a make a small barricade out of dead aliens, and start roasting all the body parts I had in a sack. Then, after giving Kyle some fingers, and leaving him on watch, I drift off into a peaceful sleep, with several weapons in my lap.

Not forgetting, just busy with continuous posts. And had to move to my actual house from my cousins.
You begin to walk closer, but it is a long journey that will take a day. It is already becoming night. The forest looks nice with the sunset draped over it. The hat comes out very nicely and seems like it could even be water proof.
In the middle of the night, you hear some fighting, Bliths. When you get out there you see Kyle eating a Blith. When you get back in your bed you begin to shake violently. Probably from all the human flesh you've been eating. The night goes on and after an hour, it goes away. You sleep peacefully and wake up at dawn. When you wake up you realize your leg feels better and the limp is gone.
After a good night's rest, I stockpile the now roasted human flesh, and more berries, then I start patrolling the camp, scanning the area for possible building materials. I also go back to the center of the camp, and scope the surrounding jungle for hostiles, or anything else that's flesh and blood, every 10 minutes.

It looks pretty safe, but as you patrol, you hear a light hum. You look around to find out what it is. Eventually, you see it. You can see the remains of Metal Earth com crashing down. It's almost like a meteor shower. Luckily, everything landed in the desert area, probably killed no one but the people who didn't escape. Amidst the storm, you can make out the husk of Metal Earth. Somewhat intact. You might be able to use it to get off this planet.
Fuhgitabowtit. I grab some weapons and ammo, and jump down into one of the pits I dug, and set up some laser rifles. I dig in for he rest of the day. I also munch on moar cooked human leg.

Night comes and goes. You wake up to a meteor shower. But, it isn't really a meteor shower. It is the remnants of Metal Earth falling from the sky. Aside from the giant holes, it looks still operable and may be your ticket out of here.
