Last year you were just an ordinary bum on the street, but then the planetary government went and conscripted you into their exploration service. After a six month training program you are ready. You get given your assignment, find a rare metal, rumored to exist on a distant planet, and bring it back. But, right before you set out, you learn that the governments of other planets as well as space pirates are also after this metal, you must beat them to it.

Weapons: You are brought to a room filled with weapons, choose wisely, because new ones are expensive.
Pistol: portable and easy to bring to bear, great accuracy. 6 damage.
SMG: Low accuracy but great fire rate. 4 damage
Rifle: Great accuracy and damage, but harder to bring to bear and slow fire rate. 12 damage.

Ship: After choosing your weapon you are brought to the hanger, each ship has different advantages.

Fox: Great maneuverability, mid-range damage, but low health.
Neptune: Made for exploration, gives a planet exploration bonus, but poor maneuverability and firepower, high health.
Veuian Corsair: Has a great hyperdrive, as well as high damage, but low maneuverability, mid-range health.

Government of Homeplanet:
Democracy: The people are kind and freindly, buff to exploration, but nerf to damage.
Dictatorship: The people are ruled with an iron fist, conscription is common, buff to damage, but nerf to spaceship health.
Capitalist: The Planet is ruled by the rich, because of this you have an easier time finding goods, but prices are more likely to be high.

"What, does the poor __________ think he can get me to surrender, ha! I will never give up, your pirate friend and zago have both raided me one too many times, I will destroy them, and you too. If you don't want a fight, then you should surrender to me." He then drops a nuclear bomb, your scanners show it explode right in the middle of the allied fleet, things looks bleak. But, right when you don't expect it, a flurry of lasers zoom past you and into the enemy flagship, then you see fighters fly past you. The enemy flagship is severely damaged, but the remainder of his fleet is ready to fight. What is your battle plan.

p.s. The ships are from your government, they have been hunting this guy for years.

You wake up, and eat a complementary continental breakfast (whatever that is in the future), you tell the hotel owner you are checking out, and since she recognizes the energy sword, "I see you went to the gun shop, you must stop by the tavern, here is enough money to buy a drink or two." You walk into the tavern, it is well lit and has tables for Sabac, but they are full. At the counter you see several groups of men, one looks like pirates, you want to avoid those, another is military from the outpost, they won't do you any good, and finally there is one of men who look like they have been through a lot. What do you do?

"We will stay with you until death do us part. The pirate is back in the system you came from, but we have to be careful, we don't know where he has his patrols." So, do you warp right to him and hope you don't get instantly fried, or do you warp near the edge of the system and use micro jumps to get closer. What do you do?

You arrive at the outside of the system. You look at your radar and see two ships to your left. Upon closer inspection it turns out to be a pirate corsair attacking a transport. Do you help the transport or continue to the center? (if you help the transport what is your battle plan, you are in outer space, no asteroids, moons, or planets around.)

You tell your plan to your allies. You approach the pirate firing and deliberately missing the transport. Then you suddenly turn and quickly disable the enemy ship. Do you finish him off or send him as a prisoner on the cargo vessel?

You open a channel to the cargo vessel. "Thank you for your help, we will take the pirate to the authorities." You tell them why you are there. "oh, you came at a good time, most of his fleet is off on a raid, just his flagship and a couple fighters at his base. I was driving by when that pirate was sent after me, so that's how I know this.

The pirate lord did not expect you to attack, after a long battle, you managed to destroy 5 fighters, 4 corsairs, and 2 transports. But he still has his flagship, 3 corsairs, 2 transports, and 12 fighters. You were forced to make a crash landing on the nearby planet, luckily relatively near a mining source, but you lost most of your supplies. You relax thinking it is over, when you see the pirates transports descending, you have to think of a plan before they find you. (environment: a jungle with rocks all over the place.)
