Last year you were just an ordinary bum on the street, but then the planetary government went and conscripted you into their exploration service. After a six month training program you are ready. You get given your assignment, find a rare metal, rumored to exist on a distant planet, and bring it back. But, right before you set out, you learn that the governments of other planets as well as space pirates are also after this metal, you must beat them to it.

Weapons: You are brought to a room filled with weapons, choose wisely, because new ones are expensive. Pistol: portable and easy to bring to bear, great accuracy. 6 damage. SMG: Low accuracy but great fire rate. 4 damage Rifle: Great accuracy and damage, but harder to bring to bear and slow fire rate. 12 damage.
Ship: After choosing your weapon you are brought to the hanger, each ship has different advantages.
Fox: Great maneuverability, mid-range damage, but low health. Neptune: Made for exploration, gives a planet exploration bonus, but poor maneuverability and firepower, high health. Veuian Corsair: Has a great hyperdrive, as well as high damage, but low maneuverability, mid-range health.
Government of Homeplanet: Democracy: The people are kind and freindly, buff to exploration, but nerf to damage. Dictatorship: The people are ruled with an iron fist, conscription is common, buff to damage, but nerf to spaceship health. Capitalist: The Planet is ruled by the rich, because of this you have an easier time finding goods, but prices are more likely to be high.
You manage to pick off a dozen stranglers, however there is another dozen clustered together, and your pistol only holds eight shots. You examine the dead pirates and notice their weapons. Mostly pistols (8 damage, good accuracy but low rate of fire, 6 rounds a mag) but there are a couple SMGs, (4 damage, high rate of fire, but low accuracy, 50 rounds a mag) one of the pirates is wearing armor, good thing you hit the head, (+ 20 health), he also had an assault rifle, probably a squad leader. (9 damage, mid-range rate of fire and accuracy, 30 rounds a mag) What do you do?
I get 50 supplies,then 2 potions to increase my health and intelligence.I then go across to browse the gun shop while I continue to let my critters breed.
You grab a SMG and the Assault rifle, and put on the armor. You find the pirates clustered together with guns pointed outward moving through the jungle. What do you do?
You walk into the gun shop. All around are guns of all shapes, sizes and prices. "Hello there young explorer, I can sell you a rifle (15 damage) for 90 univerchips if you do something for me first, or you can buy an SMG (5 damage) for 60 univerchips. If you want to buy something for melee i have a 2 ft long energy sword for 10, which i will include free if you buy the rifle. If you want to sell that pistol I will sell you the assault rifle with no task and the energy sword for 75 univerchips (you get 35 univerchips for it.)

As soon as they make their check-in you fly out from behind the moon and destroy the fighters in a matter of seconds. You then fly towards the pirate's base but you get picked up on radar. Immediately fighters start deploying, but it will take a couple minutes to get the flagship up and running. What do you do?

I've been meaning to ask, if the Fox a fighter essentially?
I open a comm link with Zago and the pirate. "Continue with your parts of the plan if your battle-ready." I tell them. I detach Zago as planned, then follow the friendly fighters to counter hostile fighters from interfering their attacks. Essentially, join up with them.

I tell the others to spread out and pick off the fighters one by one and once we finish we will attack the flagship. hopefully we will stop the fighters before the flagship starts

You join the dogfight and get a few kills. The friendly flagships attack the enemy flagships and destroy it, but it launches a fighter containing the leader. (if he gets away he will raise a new fleet and come after you) The transports are about to ram Zago when the pirate friend puts his ship between them. just before the ships collide he, along with a small amount of his crew eject (but the crew members are then shot down), his flagship is destroyed along with the transports but Zago survives. The fighters and the damaged corsair are finished off by your allies, and the leader caught in a tractor beam. Zago is still damaged and the friendly fleet leaves with the leader, but give you 100 univerchips for your help. The pirate's forces were destroyed by the nuke but his base is intact he will be willing to let you stay there a few days.
p.s. yes the fox is a fighter, the neptune is a transport with guns, and the veuian corsair is in between. also, if you want to name your ship you can, just don't delete what type it is.

I send zane, argon, and damon to distract the fighters and flagship while i sneak around the moon and pop up behind the flagship and i will shoot it with all my power
